macmert
I guess this may be possible with the release of the CS but... Do you think that is possible? disrupting the Fast travel, that way I wouldnt safely roam the land and it would be a nice addition... Since I am no modder, I can come up with vague theories such as... When fast travel is initiated, a random encounter check may be rolled, depending on your luck, level and such... The random encounter may happen in some pre created cells (like big outdoor cells in Oblivion) and a small dialogue is initiated if the encounter is a human or a mutant... Well I dont know you can fill it up as you like... I know some people will tell me to not to use the fast travel but unfortunately I cant roleplay that cause I dont have the time, I have 2 to 3 hours a day to play Fallout since I am working, also I loved the previous games' random encounters, hardcore Fallout fans would remember the Enclave execution scene, or the moonshiners, or the raider encounters... ComicKaze
That's a good idea and I don't know why they didn't implement it. It shouldn't be in isolated cells though like in Fallout, but areas along the way to your destination. Therefore it wouldn't spoil the idea that the entire wasteland is explorable with some artifically bounded "fake cells". That would also give you the option to walk your way out. The game does have several areas where random things appear. For instance, the easiest to see it happen is the barn behind Vault 101. If you quicksave before it comes up and keep reloading, a different event happens each time from just a pack of molerats to a trader with a broken robot you need to fix to wastelanders fighting a deathclaw (and if you save them you get something). macmert
Cool... I sometimes see some random events near some power stations... BTW maybe a further enhancement, instead of fast traveling, we can revert to the older system, on the map in the pipboy, the player indicator would move, then have the random encounter happen... Like in fallout 2, where we would move on the map and find some settlements and such...
