bben46
To asnwer your related question, believe that if you created a TRANPARENT plane and stuck it into a window frame you would have a transparent window would you not? If you mean a working window in an interior cell, then i dont think so. Something interesting that you could do would be to take a screenshot from where the window is and put that as the texture for the window. But with too many windows and everything + the fact that there is night AND day, i really dont think you can make a TRUE window. It looks okay to me, I don't see anything against the rules here. armageddon818
Phew! I was going a little crazy thinking...WHAT DID I DO?! Hahahaha, thanks for the ok! Also, I guess I can use this post to ask... in the heightmap editor, there are all those different colors for the height. About how high (and subsequently what color) does anyone think might be the approixmate height of the White Gold Tower? I need some sort of measure for my Ice Palace, and I was thinking of it being grand on that sort of scale. Also....how might I add custom textures to the list in the landscape editor so I can make the ground appropriate for a glacier?!
paintballmaster254
If you open the NIf file and open the material tag and lower the alpha doesn't that work?
armageddon818
Hmmm... I dont know... but i will check. What if it is a custom model though? Idk if those have a material property...and if they do not...how might i make one so that if this method works i could use it? Clarification: Do you mean the reflection or the transparency? (Assuming Transparency)
paintballmaster254
Ya transparency, I have no idea how to make something reflect the surrounding enviornment.
armageddon818
OK thanks... I think there is a tutorial somewhere on the CSwiki that has to do with metal reflection, but idk if that kind of thing would apply to just ANYTHING... man you respond FAST! I like that! armageddon818
Vague intonation speculation isnt a crime i dont think. And yes I did change it as a way to apologize if I had offended the person to whom my statement was directed. However, my motive behind what i said and how you evidenty read what i wrote clearly are not the same thing. Mild sarcasm, and an eliptical conclusion, with a smiley face is how I do humor. I was not upset nor was i trying to upset anyone. However, I am sorry once again if i did and for the apparent misconceptions and discrepancies I have caused.
