Relativelybest
I've never played Morrowind, so I have no particular nostalgic feelings about Dragonborn. However, the trailer does look pretty damn awesome. I'm seeing new attires, new weapons and armors, new lands, new creatures and enemies, new abilities and a villain who might actually prove to be a worthy opponent. In other words, everything a new expansion should have. So, yeah, I'm pretty enthusiastic. This might even turn out to be the Skyrim version of Shivering Isles. Lachdonin
I've never played Morrowind Get out. You filthy, Outlander loving, boot licking Swit. Just kidding  I think, regardless of other factors, if Dragonborn can recapture even a little bit of the character, story telling and atmosphere of Morrowind, it will be a success. Even if the last boss (IE the Dragonborn) is actually a nancy who really only haunts you and doesn't actually do anything.

Of course, it also makes me wonder exactly what kind of creatures will be launching random attacks outside every town, slaughtering the stable masters and townsfolk this time that need to be toned down/modded out. I swear if I end up with random Draugr attacks every time I walk out the gates....

It really makes you appreciate Skyrim a LOT more.Honestly its a good game but it has several things that irk me to the point of being unplayable lol. The landscape is not one of them, even without the graphical mods. I know I'll enjoy the morrowind style much better without bloody dice rolling! Story is another thing Morrowind and oblivion have over Skyrim. I hope they get the DLC story right and its not full of wtf moments like Dawnguard. (Like why you HAVE take Serana back to her Castle, I MEAN WTF)
Lachdonin
Story is another thing Morrowind and oblivion have over Skyrim I actually dissagree with this... I think Skyrim is vastly better at storytelling than Oblivion. Not as good as Morrowind, but i blame that deficiency largely on voice acting. No more walls of interesting though irrelivent conversation to be had... Which is something i would like to see in Dragonborn. I want to be able to talk to some random villager, and learn something that has absolutely nothing to do with a quest of any sort. Is Morvayn a House-Jumper? Is Favise sleeping around? Does a Dren s*** sideways? I don't care how irrelivent it is, i would like to see some innane chatter, even if it IS just gossip.

The Dark Brotherhood, main quest, mages and fighters guild were far far superior in Oblvion. Thieves guild is probably about the same imo. Wall of text ruined immersion for me in morrowind more than the voices in oblivion lol.

Still in terms of concept and overall story, i would still side with Skyrim. I found Oblivion to be predictable and rather droll.
daventry
I think i found Proof since Skyrim that Cliff Racers are Alive, so prepare yourselves. Jiub's crusade against the Cliff Racers did not bring the species into extinction, as Mjoll the Lioness often shares with the Dragonborn about her adventures in Morrowind, where she would hunt Cliff Racers with her father. Judging from Mjoll's age, this could never have been more than one or two decades ago. Talen-Jei in the Bee and Barb in Riften sells a drink called a Cliff Racer. daventry
The DLC is about $20 (not sure how Xbox currency works) so how Big is Skyrim to Buy and Download through Steam, since this DLC could be Skyrim Size and that would take me 4 Days to Finish Downloading hence the HD DLC Pack allone. Not all Countries has super fast Internet you know. Edited November 22, 2012 by daventry
