pra
You could have gotten lucky, yes. There is one edge case where it might be safe, namely, when the WorkshopID is -1 as above. That means, it never registered, and if it never registered, it won't leave a hole in the array.Though if it broke after it was put in there, but before the ID was actually written back (or was reset/overwritte with -1), it still will. If you aren't sure about a settlement, you should make a save, install it, test it, and only if it actually fully works keep it in. Otherwise, uninstall and go back to that save. Sucks that it's a convoluted process, but better be safe than sorry. Not sure how a settlement could have been broken by an update. Though, some settlement mods, especially some of the very first ones, are just plain broken. It took a while for mod authors to figure everything out. Also, without saying any names, some are actively resisting attempts to help... Deleted48339873User
Hello from Greece and happy new year. if you use expanded borders mods and put the beacon outside of vanilla borders, far far away, yes it is going to be a problem, because i think, settlers don't understand it is a settlement there. Wait for a 2 or more days and someone is going to a settlement.if you use flat settlement mods, also is going to be a problem, again. if you can't see a settlement at pipboy and you find 1 call Commonwealth, then you must put this esp, last at load order, and this fix the problemTry to put the beacon at the center of the settlement Some mods, have their own beacon install, so you must connect this -also at vault 88 if you use scrap mods- somewhere give power if you use scrap mods, also make settlers don't understand there is a settlement. Also with vanilla settlements About 0% happiness, is a problem cause by many settlement mods and you can't do nothing about it i hope i help. That's all. Thanks. jet4571
Edit: I wrote this about settlement problems:https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/1518?maybe it can help And that just saved me from going insane. Had the same exact issue... couldn't make supply lines or send settlers to mod settlements except it was on a new game with all the settlements working correct on the previous one and nothing changed in the load order except I added some basic followers to the top of the list with other followers. Turned out I forgot I added a green commonwealth/nukaworld/far harbor mod 6 months before after I already had working settlements and those were below the settlements in the load order. "Possibly the relevant Cell(s) don't have the proper Location/Encounter Zone assigned." Was the issue for me.
