Wouldn't the terrorists use this time to escape?

 

Also it would create massive anti-America uproar from the Muslim community. (and just about every other community other then the good ole Southern Baptists.)

 

This might possibly create more terrorist organizations because people would fear the US and "liberation" groups would arise.

Wasn't the given reason for invading Iraq more or less that they can do that to us? That being the case, if we are not only capable of doing that to Iraq, but actually threaten to do so, surely another country or two should invade us, otherwise it's a blatent case of double standards being applied.
