Rathyan
Hi, I sent a message to Beth.soft support but they said me they can't handle problems about modded Oblivion... So I came here, with the hope someone could help me to fix the problem :) The problem is: I loaded a clean save (since my last saves were corrupter (idk how)). It saves with success with mods installed. Got a bit further in the game, exploring a bit... I saved... everything was fine. I left the game after saving (no crash happened), and about an hour later, I restarted the game. I tried to load the savegame but....it crashed. I've searched on the internet for fixes/answers, but I didn't find anything revelant. This is my list of Mods and OBSE plugins (sorted with updated BOSS) 00 Oblivion.esm01 Kvatch Rebuilt.esm02 Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp [Version 3.4.2]03 UOPS Additional Changes.esp04 UOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.esp [Version 1.0.0]05 Oblivion Citadel Door Fix.esp06 DLCShiveringIsles.esp07 New Frostmourne Sword by Jojjo v1_0.esp08 Kvatch Rebuilt.esp09 MountainTower.esp [Version 6.0]0A Knights.esp0B Synx.esp0C 1em_Vilja.esp [Version 4.04] OBSE plugins OBSE Version: 0.0.20.6FastExit2.dllOBGEv2.dll Version: 2.0.0.0obse_jail_fix.dll Also installed Darnified UI and HGEC body. I know how to install a mod and I don't think I did an error somewhere. Can you please tell me a way to debug/find what's wrong? Thanks a lot ! P.S. I apologize about the grammar, but I'm french, I have certainly done a lot of errors.Best regards
discovery1
this has happened to me and the workaround was to use obmm to invalidate my textures/meshes etc once again.I dont know if this is the same problem....good luck.
Rathyan
Thanks for the answer - trying it right now. (Utilities -> Archive invalidation -> BSA invalidation, textures, meshes and I didnt change any other option) I guess this is what I was supposed to do? EDIT : I found a link (http://wiwiki.wiwiland.net/index.php/Oblivion_:_Archive_Invalidation)What I did is that I used the BSA redirection as written. I'm able to load the game which crashed before (yeepee!), but I can't save it, it crashes too. May the file be corrupted?I'm working on it, but if you have an idea, you're welcome. discovery1
I use bsa alteration for textures, meshes. another reason for saves not loading is stuck animations.http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/5127this has helped although as you say the save may be corrupted. Go back 5 saves at a time untilo you can load one, then narrow it down. oblivion is a real pain sometimes........
Rathyan
Hmm. It still refuses to save without crashing. I loaded a clean save (I know it's clean because this save never crashed before, I used it as a backup a lot of times), but it won't save. It crashes. I don't think it's about corrupted saves now... it's not about stuck animations... Archive Invalidation, BSA alteration... has been done. What can cause the game to crash everytime I save? IdoLDC
Just a suggestion - have you installed a windows update recently? Becuse I have similar problem that started occurring after I installed a windows update.
Rathyan
@bben46 : Reading it right now. I'll post back if something (or nothing) works. @IdoLDC : I've not installed a windows update recently. EDIT : Nah, unfortunately nothing worked. The stability / overheat / run as admin. .. were obvious solutions, I tried it before.I'll still try your revert Oblivion to vanilla. If it doesn't work... I'll reinstall everything with your other tool, and reinstall the mods one by one. Thanks for the help!
