LannaKurylenko
Hello, I am currently working on a personal mod that includes various robes, and clothing to have armor rating. Which was simple enough to edit with the construction kit, although when in game the armor value is 0. No matter what number I set for the armor value, the number remains 0 in game. I checked some other mods that added new clothing with armor value, but in game they resulted with a 0 value. I've yet to test the armor value in game with the console command, but has anyone else experienced this and knows how to work around? I'd prefer to see the actual armor value I set in the CK to appear in game. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Deleted1308005User
switch armor style from cloth (or is it light in CK?) to something else (Heavy or medium)I think its light by default (Cloth in game), and thus negates the protection. Also, if you don't touch the keywords/id things on the right side, it should still work with mage armor spells. As far as I know (I haven't actually checked), if the keywords are armormaterialclothing and corresponding item type (gloves, boots) it will work with mage armor spells. Thanks. I changed the style from none (Cloth) to Light and it's working. I will need to test this robe set with the mage armor spell to confirm. Though now that this set is under light, won't perks under the light armor tree contribute to this robe set?
Deleted1308005User
Nope.just changing from the drop-down menu to light doesn't make perks work. You need to change the keywords which will prevent it from working with mage armor spells. You can't make it so it works with both.
