Cowls on characters stop them from equping robes

Almost all the mages in my game are wearing(blue) cowls (hood with scarf-ish), which automatically unequips robes. When they are wearing robes instead tho, the cowl is not seen in a head slot, yet the npc has a bald spot on top. Cowls work fine with heave armor.

Is there a way to find and edit the problematic mod or the cowls in it to fix the slot conflicts? The cowls work fine with heave armor btw.

Have you fitted those items using Bodyslide? (not sure if they can be, but fwiw)

 

also, idk if you have the mod installed that alters your inventory to display item slot numbers, but if you do, you might check to see if thy're using the same slot. And if they are, afaik there's a mods somewhere on Nexus that allows the player to alter slot numbers for at least certain items so you could avoid a slot contention.

 

If you don't have the mod installed that provides slot info on items in your inventory....Afaik the mod to look for (if you're interested) is SkyUI AIO Survival

as to the mod that allows changing slot values, you're on your own. I saw it in passing but failed to followup and either install it or at least archive it locally so I'd know what it was called. Afaik it was posted within the past three or four months.
