Problem with Cloaks and Capes

This is my first post here, so if I screw up a bit here, I'll just apologize in advance.

Anyway, I'm on Xbox One, and I think I have some sort of problem with the mod called Cloaks and Capes. At least, I think that's where the problem lays. I've been using said mod pobably since it's release, and it's worked out fine. The problem is, that a type of cloak, namely Worn Linen Cloak, seems to have gone missing. They're essentially the same as the regular cloaks, except the colors are more faded and they don't have any hoods.

I was using these cloaks a few days ago just fine. Then I donwloaded the Amazing Follower Tweaks and kind of broke the game with all of my followers. After I removed AFT, my save file became corrupted, and I had to start a new character. At this time, the Worn Linen Cloaks are just gone. Dissapeared, nowhere to be found in dungeons or with merchants.

I still played with the same mods I had before, besides AFT, so no other mod was removed that may have caused this error. I've tried several new characters in many different ways, but no luck. Tried raising levels in case the cloaks were somehow on a leveled list, but nothing. I tried maxing out Smithing and getting all the perks, but nothing. I've tried removing all mods as well as even reinstalling AFT to see if it made any difference, but once again, nothing.

I really like those cloaks but I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong. Does anyone know what to do, or does someone have the same issue? I've looked everywhere online, but haven't been able to find a single word about this. Hence why I'm asking here.

Again, anyone who can help?

This is NOT my strong point, so take this with a grain of salt until someone more knowledgeable comes along.

A couple of things spring to mind, one being load order. After you installed/reinstalled AFT, did your load order change to put cloaks ahead of something else that maybe it needs to be behind?

If you haven't already, I'd suggest running LOOT and then going over your list, to see where cloaks falls. You can also use xedit to load your entire mod list at once, using the "veryquickshowconflicts" shortcut, and get an idea of what may be conflicting. If another mod is overriding cloaks, you may wish to manually change the load order, or to overwrite the cloaks portion into a patch. That can get pretty complicated at times, but it's something that you'll want to be familiar with in the future anyway. I would recommend youtube, for GamerPoets tutorials on installing LOOT, xedit, and wrye bash, and how to create merged patches and/or bashed patches.

If you have multiple mods, which affect leveled lists, you will eventually run into this with others. A bashed patch will help the leveled lists play nicely, so you can have the items from both mods, rather than just the one loading last, and then xedit will help you tweak the bashed patch even further.

I appreciate the help, but there's a small problem: I'm playing on Xbox One, not PC, so I can't really get all those things you recommended.

As for the load order, I completely forgot to put it in my post. My mistake. I've tried on the top of the list, the bottom and some places in between in regards to other clothing mods and such -- didn't work.

Sorry, didn't know how to properly reply. As said, this is my first post on this site and I'm still learning. Anyway, you can see my response just above this one.

I believe that Worn Linen Cloak comes with "Wet and Cold" by isoku.

I do have that mod, but I never thought it would add cloaks. Anyway, I tried deleting it and then download it again, and no cloaks. Tried using the ingame settings for cold/wet gear, such as cloaks, but still nothing. I thought that maybe it had been added to the leveled list, so I raised a whole bunch of levels, but yet again, it did nothing. I tried placing the mod in different places in the load order -- did nothing. I really have no idea what to do now.. I've had both Wet and Cold and Cloaks & Capes since.. well, probably since they were released on console. and I've never had this poblem before.

I don't know if the console version is different, but I've confirmed that Worn Linen Cloak is part of Wet & Cold by opening it in SSEEdit. It's part of a leveled list called "_WetRainCloakLItem", implying that it gets worn by NPCs when it rains. All of the items in the list are variations of Worn Linen Cloak, and they're all set to level 1. Are NPCs in your game equipping cloaks when it rains?
