NMM unchecks my plugins?

It shouldn't be doing that. Just curious, what version of NMM are you using, and are you using the offline mode, or logged in? I find that offline mode made it confuse mod files so I avoid it like the plague.

I'm using the NMM 0.33.1

and I'm using the logged in mode yes =x

Hmm, I'm using the same version.

Are you using NMM to download the mods, or do you download them from the Nexus website and save them elsewhere, then load them in NMM manually? I hear the automatic download can be... temperamental.

Yeah, I download them by the NMM, the only one that worked till now was the Mod SkyUl, even if it was saying it was missing a script or something, but it worked anyway.

Sky_UI needs the SKSE utility to run (that's why it complained to you), have you downloaded it? It doesn't install like a mod in NMM, it's a separate tool.

Get SKSE from it's website: "Skyrim Script Extender" ( http://skse.silverlock.org/ ) - currently at build 1.6.5, and requires Skyrim ver1.8.151.0 - it's version sensitive to Skyrim btw so if you haven't upgraded Skyrim you will require an older version of SKSE.

I still can't figure out why NMM is crapping out on you though.

Going to get the updates, since I haven't really updated anything still, started playing yesterday (ohh the shame, I know) might help... Shall post what happens after that here then.

But , anyway, thanks for the help so far !

@JohnStranger: Once you have the SKSE installed, there are a few things to try.

1) The STEP guide (Skyrim Total Enhancement Project) refers to tweaking the SkyrimPrefs.ini fil (in my documents/my games/skyrim) to avoid the launcher unchecking esps: change the line "bEnableFileSelection=0 to -1

2) It may be that your UAC is getting in the way of the plugins being activated. Try running NMM with the administrator by right clicking on the NMM icon. If that doesn't work,

3) Run BOSS, which is good to do in any case, to reorder your plugins and perhaps reactivate them in AppData. Sometimes, if the appdata is set to read only, it will not accept changes. You can check the plugins.text in your C:\Users\<your computer name>\AppData\Local\Skyrim folder. That folder may be currently be set to hidden. If so, you will need to unhide it before you can look at it. If you see update.esm and your plugins listed, it's good. If you don't see that, then you can uncheck read-only and rerun BOSS and NMM. Read only status will keep anything including NMM from modifying the text.
