Deleted46282012User
I am trying to a modify mesh in BodySlide (Blender is way too complicated for me and nif importing is also fun I hear) and I finished modifying the mesh but it saves it with the wrong skeleton which (I think) causes some displacement and because of that the texture stretches and the mesh appears distorted so I have NifSkope and I don't know how to change the skeleton or import another one. Please help. The skeleton it saves with a modified and distorted skeleton of the LichVampire skeleton from Vicn Creature Pack, Gargoyle Dragon Priest. I am very new to this stuff so I don't know much. I merely modified some vertices and now I have this. Edit: Okay so I found the problem and it indeed is the skeleton. The points of where the stuff moves are in the wrong positions and the game corrects it with the right positions which messes up the vertices... FUN... Any help would still be appreciated on how to fix these vertices. Edit 2: I solved the problem. I will explain what I did so anyone else with the same problem has a potential sotlution (I don't know exactly how it worked, therefore it's a "potential solution") So I took the original and the modified mesh and loaded both into a seperate NifSkope window. Then I took the RIGHT coordinates of the skeleton and put them into a txt. Then I applied those coordinates to the modified one. You should now get that distorted appearance you got in Skyrim. Now save it and load it into BodySlider, it shouldn't look distorted. Now save it as a project and check in NifSkope if the skeleton is indeed in the right place still. If it is you can safely apply it in the game and tada the mesh is fixed. (Keep in mind that this worked for me so I might not work for you) Edited January 29, 2020 by Guest
