Companions questline significantly bugged

I sided with the Stormcloaks and before the Battle for Whiterun, I could do Companions radiant quests like normal, but, after the Stormcloaks and me successfully siege Whiterun and Vignar becomes Jarl, I have no dialogue options to complete the radiant quest that was given to me by either Farkas, Vilkas or Aela.

I helped Kodlak reach Sovngarde and Vilkas offered me work, so, I accepted. I completed the objective, but, I did not report back to Vilkas after the Battle for Whiterun, the completion of the Main Quest, and the completion of the Liberation of Skyrim.

The Companions questline is so bugged:

1) With every new character save, I always receive the same radiant quest of killing bandits

2) After Dustman's Cairn, the ceremony with Kodlak does not take place and I can't receive the Wolf Armor and Skyforge Steel weapon

3)After curing Kodlak, I can throw a witch head into the fire and cure the werewolf in me, when it is supposed to be me doing more Companions quests and then curing Farkas and Vilkas before curing myself.

I'm having basically the exact same issue. It seems that there are lots of Companion quest issues floating around. I didn't I've basically had to use set stage to advance to the point I'm at now in the quest-line, and now can't even progress using that, as I'm unable to accept or advance past "Talk to Companion Leaders for work". Any one out there got any ideas?

The problem isn't the Companions questline, it's that the Civil War breaks quests - and not just the Companions quests either.

I never have a problem with Companions quests, but then again I never start the Civil War quests until after I've completed the entire Companions questline.

Apologies, I'm having the exact same error, but I haven't done any of the Civil War quests at all. I'm still fairly early in the game, only being level 20.

TigerWolfe, what exactly is your issue? The OP mentions 3 different issues - which one are you suffering from exactly?

Apologies again, I'm terrible at this. His issue number 2. Dustman's Cairn did not resolve properly, and I've had to use to the console to advance through every single Companion quest. I've never been able to "Talk to the Companion Leaders" either. Just finished the mission where Kodlak dies(after killing the Glenmoril witches) and was able to talk to Vilkas and turn in the quest, so maybe it has self resolved. Still seems like with the amount of Companion quest issues I found while searching for solutions, someone at Bethesda should be working on a patch for this.

Is this what happened?

"Fast traveling to Jorrvaskr may cause Farkas to not arrive there. After speaking to Skjor, and having the tablet removed, he says the leaders of the Companions need to be spoken with. They do not give the appropriate dialogue options."

That was listed in the bugs on The Elder Scrolls Wiki.

I've never noticed this because I rarely fast-travel. I have noticed on occasion that Farkas/Vilkas seem to get "lost" on occasion - but I've always tracked them down and restarted dialogue with them before proceeding.

Do you have a save game just prior to finishing Dustman's Cairn?

Didn't see that one. But yeah that seems to be what happened. I don't have a save prior to that unfortunately, but now I know at least. Hopefully it did self resolve as the current quest (the one where you avenge Kodlak) seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help.
