Shockolate
To whom it may concern, I am experiencing instantaneous crashes whenever the Nexus Mod Manager. As soon as the application is launched (double-clicked, w/e), a Windows dialogue bubble pops up saying "Nexus Mod Manager has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem..." This dialogue window exits as soon as it was brought up. NO TRACELOG WAS GENERATED. This problem started occurring when my computer lost power. I had launched NMM, then hit the familiar button for the SKSE_Launcher. The Skyrim main menu loaded, but then my computer instantly turned off; I have a laptop and the power cable must be connected whenever I use programs that use my GPU. I forgot to have it plugged in when I launched Skyrim, my computer cut power, and now my NMM won't launch at all. I have tried uninstall/reinstall, and searched forums to no avail. There shouldn't be mod compatibility issues for I am using the STEP guide. Skyrim itself still launches fine through Steam/skse_launcher.exe/TESV.exe, etc. It is only NMM that crashes. NMM v 0.33.1TESV.exe v1.8.151.0SKSE 1.6.5 I will gladly supply any further information that can be helpful.

Shockolate
anyone? Is this the right forum?
asdgora
Search a little bit more for answers, when you get really desperate, try doing this, note that this could be dangerous and may harm your pc and I hold no responsibilty for any damages that may occur.. -uninstall NMM and restart your PC -open the start menu, type "regedit", press enter -back up your registry by going to file > export type a name and save. -press F3 and search for nexus mod manager -when you find an entry, delete it, press F3 again then delete until all the nexus mod manager entries are deleted.. -restart then reinstall NMM. a bit extreme but it MAY help... Shockolate
Posting on the forum was my act of desperation. I have not found any scenario that exhibited the same problems. Now would this registry 'fix' alter my configuration (I'm guessing not)?
asdgora
What do you mean by "alter my configuration" ? Also did you try downloading and installing an older version of NMM?
Shockolate
The configuration files...
asdgora
You haven't removed your NMM configuration files when you uninstalled? I guess you should do that. And I think deleting registry keys will alter your configuration. The whole point is to leave no traces of your older NMM install. Shockolate
I see where you are coming from. I had the incorrect presumption that the 'configuration files' dealt with the function of Skyrim and its associated mods. The registry fix was able to 'solve' my problem. Thank you, Asdgora, for your help.
