Ralkahn
Could have sworn that in the description of one of the mods I looked at, the creator had found that you could place a new container in the same place as an existing one without causing any problems... I'll see if I can find which mod it was. But if that is the case, couldn't you just make a carbon copy of an existing merchant container with a new ID containing your modded items? And, as stated previously, the forthcoming GECK should alleviate this issue.
jaysus
the geck wont solve that issue, only allow modders to place stuff everywhere not just in lists... a levelled list merger like OBMM for oblivion is the onyl thing that could help... placing it in a container brings other problems with it... Circuitous
You guys can't just make new Scavenger NPCs? I mean, they're frickin' everywhere, you could even run into one at the start of a new game. Seems a lot easier than "divvying up" existing merchants spread out across the wasteland just to peddle a few custom items.
jaysus
once we get the GECK (or youre overly experienced with hex editing lol)... wont stop most modders tho from adding their stuff to moira... and still doesnt prevent the usual loot list problems aka the stuff you get from fallen foes and so on... Well of course not. It's friggin' Moira. But if you're actually concerned about that sort of thing (i.e., not overwriting everyone else's loot) then you could just avoid the problem altogether. and still doesnt prevent the usual loot list problems aka the stuff you get from fallen foes and so on... Yeah but what will? Unless Fo3 handles leveled lists differently that's always going to be a problem (and fortunately it seems like it just might).
