CandleLicker
The moment I even tried installing the most basic mods in MHW for steam, everything went to s#*!. I tried uninstalling vortex and deleting all the files related to vortex, including in appdata. Even after installing MHW for the second time ( a 40GB game when I only have 1.2 MB/s download speed at college) no fix. any help would be appreciated. rmm200
Just out of curiosity - why do you think Vortex is involved in your problem? You give us nothing to go on.Did Monster Hunter work with no mods?Did you run Monster Hunter with no mods through Vortex? You installed one mod using Vortex And MonsterHunter no longer opens? (went to s*** is not really a description) And start here:https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7332636-how-to-post-request-support-for-vortex/
CandleLicker
Just to clarify, yes Monster hunter was working perfectly fine before the installation of vortex. I added 2 Mods to MHW through the vortex installer and the game began crashing on startup. I uninstalled Monster hunter the first time and vortex; after reinstalling MHW it still crashed on startup. I then deleted everything on myPC related to both Monsterhunter and Vortex including appdata, and am now installing MHW for the second time. Guess Ill get back to you in 15 hours when its done downloading LMAO Edited February 1, 2020 by CandleLicker
rmm200
Do as you like - but you never need to download a game twice.Purge in Vortex removes all hard links and leaves the game squeeky clean.Steam verification corrects any errors in game files. You really have to give links to the specific two mods you installed.
