Vicschuldiner
I've been playing a Paladin type character recently and have decided to make Dawnbreaker my main weapon throughout my game. And since I use the Realistic Lighting mod(which makes the game very dark), I recently thought of how cool it would be if Dawnbreaker, a sword that literally emits light from it's guard, actually illuminated the area you're in while you have it drawn. I imagine the illumination that of a torch would work just fine. Not very overkill. I've gone into Creation Kit to see if I can do it myself, but I'm far too inexperienced, and the CK wiki doesn't seem to have anything about it in it's tutorials. But here's the catch, I would like it to be compatible with other property changing mods for Dawnbreaker. I currently use the Dawnguard Dawnbreaker mod that adds sun damage along with fire damage, depending on which mod option you go with, and the Dawnbreaker with Runes mod, and would like to keep both. Is this at all possible? I've found a mod that allows spells to emit light when you have them readied, so it must be possible, right? And just to take it a step further, would it be possible to also add an area effect range equal to the light being emitted where undead are set aflame and hurt for a small amount of fire damage(5-10)? Kinda like if the light were holy, or of the sun? I know this is a bit of a (tall?)order, but I would absolutely appreciate it if someone could make this mod for me and the rest of the community, as I'm sure it would be well-received. Thanks for reading! EDIT: I found the two mods, one being where spells emit light and the other being where there is an area of effect on an armor that causes poison damage on anyone within melee distance of your character while in sneak mode.Spells emit light: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8479Void Armor+: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=13032 Edited November 21, 2012 by Vicschuldiner
Deleted1308005User
Well, this has been discussed in many topics, and nobody has found a way to do it. (As far as I know) Mmm..That spell thing you mentioned, maybe someoen could inspect the mods which add light to spells and check how they work? I could believe it's made so that it'd be possible. I could try and see, though I suspect it a bit.I'll try to remember test it tomorrow.
