skse launching in the background

topic. tried disabling all mods still doing it. tried reinstall 5 different times not working. any advice?

What do you mean by "SKSE launching in the background"?

i mean it will launch skyrim as a background program and stay a background program. also forgot to mention this is special edition version.

Ah... Sometimes when I start the game (via SKSE) it launches and minimizes it, but clicking on the minimized icon does it for me and brings the game back into focus. I'm afraid that I don't have any idea what's going on with yours though.

 

More details *might help find a solution. you load list, any new mods you added recently, other symptoms that led to this, system details, etc.

update tried looking for other fixes none have worked hopefully someone else will see this topic and come up with a solution or hopefully the next update will somehow fix this

There seems to be a strange relationship between SKSE SkyUI FNIS Vortex and Nexus. I have found that whenever I sign on in Vortex to Nexus and do anything (download, endorse etc) or if I disable, install etc any mod that the next time I start Skyrim the connection between SKSE and SkyUI does not work. The cure for this is to go back into Vortex without signing in, reinstall SkyUI, wait for FNIS to run (this started happening automatically a few weeks ago, I'm not sure why) and then try again. Sometimes, when I have made several changes, I have to do this twice.

Also the Vortex sign-on screen appears every time I start the PC although it is not in my start-ups. It must leave something hanging.

i don't use vortex. i tend to use nmm because i've never had a problem with it before and it still works for my other games.
