Sudden huge FPS drops

Hello people,

I have Skyrim like a week, and I really enjoy playing it. Of course, with most mods op this site.

And I have to say that with mods like Skyrim 2k textures (allong with Steam's hd texture pack) and the superb ENB pack, it was running pretty good! ( Some little fps drops in Solitude and Whiterun)

But, because I'm a male and males like to experiment with hardware I was tweaking my CPU/GPU performance on my AMD control panel. I set my clockspeed and memory speed(?) to max en made my fan (which was silent) from like 30% speed to 70%. Then I started Skyrim and my ENB effect allong with the high textures were gone! And my FPS even in small rooms like a cottage where extremely low! What the heck happened? I did notice that my Anti Alias and that other setting where changed in the settings section of the Skyrim launcher...

I did return all me settings at the AMD control panel to default, uninstalled all my mods, started a new game but still when I was in the coach with Lokir, Ulfric and Ralof my FPS where still extremely low! Then I decided to reinstall Skyrim but I'm not sure if this will fix my problem...

I played Team Fortress 2 on highest settings with HD mod's and I didn't experienced that big FPS drop like in Skyrim. It may be a little vague how I explain it but yeah it is vague!

Did I f*ck up my CPU/GPU? Or did something else happened?

I'm still a pretty big n00b in terms of PC gaming because I was PS3 gamer first so I don't have that much experience...

My specs (just in case...):

AMD Zambezi FX-6300, SixCore (overclocked)

Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3-1600 Dual-Kit RAM

1000 GB SataIII HDD

AMD Radeon 7870 2GB (overclocked)

And I play on my TV with HDMI so like 1080i?

I really hope people could give me some advice or help because I really don't know anything about PC's and all.

Thanks in advance!
