varunb
I am trying to change the default outfit for Lydia so I downloaded this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15529 .Here is what I did: Opened Creation Kit.Loaded the mod alongwith Skyrim.esmCreated a new outfit & dragged the InnerWear K Plus armor & dropped it in this newly created outfit.Opened Lydia in the Actors menu & changed its outfit from the inventory drop down. In the preview it was displaying as expected.Saved an ESP fileLoaded the ESP file in the game. The result was that Lydia was appearing naked. If I manually gave the Innerwear armor from my inventory then she took on the outfit from another mod which was disabled in the launcher. I am new to this modding so please correct me if I am wrong in any step. FYI, I am using CBBE mod & the ApachiHair mod. I have also made the required ini changes regarding the official High Resolution textures.
Deleted1308005User
Mmm..Did you change the keywords and armor stuff so they are right? It's not bug withing the mod, it's something about the AI, as it sounds like it doesn't realize it's supposed to wear that thing. Usually can be correcter by increasing armor rating, and setting each piece to light-heavy, cloth doesn't have armor rating so companion might not want to wear it. Also, setting keywords helps. For example, armormaterialsteel and armorcuirass.I don't really know anything about companions, I never use them anyway, but these are some ideas that come to my mind. Feel free to correct me if I am completely wrong about something.I could believe its now about the AI not detecting the armor correctly. You can see the armor on yourself and it works correctly, yes? ghostrecon123
what kind is that armor? heavy or light? some companions only wear heavy or vice versa, make sure that armor's weight type is the same as Lydia's armor specialization
varunb
Actually I believe the problem is not with the armor. The problem is that the plugin I am creating is using another plugin which I mentioned in my 1st post. Its an ESP file & from what I have gathered I need an ESM file instead of ESP to reference. Thats the reason everytime I opened my ESP file Lydia's outfit was blank. Please correct me if I am wrong. Now I am left with only 2 options: either convert the mod I downloaded to ESM or somehow create my ESP file independent of that mod.I cant go for 1 because the TESSnip software is hidden by the author & I don't know how to go for 2nd. :( Edited November 21, 2012 by varunb

I understand your point but what I don't know is how to include those nifs & texture files in my own mod. I cant seem to find any proper tutorial for it. ghostrecon123
i converted the ESP into an ESM for you, here http://www.mediafire.com/?g9wa0qkxdr7whr6i don't have permission from the author to edit his/her mod so its password protected, i'll give you the password in a private message so only you can use it, don't give it to anyone else Edited November 21, 2012 by ghostrecon123
