Spectre (Ghost) Race Idea

I was wondering if anyone could make this new race for me. I already wrote down all the stats.

 

Here they are:

 

Custom Race

 

Name: Spectre (Ghost)

 

Apperance: White with blue tints or Black with red tints. Slightly transparant. hopefully virtually no facial features except mouth and eyes. Mouth and eyes are color of tint. No legs.

 

Racial Traits: Resist normal weapons 100%. Weakness to magicka 25%. Spectral - Can't where armor. Soul Channel - Enchantments never run out on weapons and can enchant weapons and armor using self as a soul gem powered to 3000 as many times as desired.

 

Racial stats: Strenght 40, Intelligence 60, Willpower 40, Agility 40, Speed 70, Endurance 100, Personality 20, Luck 20.

 

Skill Bonuses: Restoration +10, Mysticism +10, Alteration +10, Conjuration +10, Illusion +10

 

Spells: Transparancy - Cameleon 25% for 120 sec on self, Posses - Command Humanoid up to 50 pts on touch, Ghost Key - Open hard lock on touch, Body Call - Summon skeleton champion for 120 sec.

 

Description:

You have no clue where you came from or who you are but you have found yourself in an Imperial City jail cell hovering over a dead body that looks as tho it has just recently starved to death.

You do realize that this race would be extremely overpowered? And to boot, some of the things you mentioned would be difficult to implement into the game. The not being able to wear armor would be fairly easy, you would just have "spectral armor" that can't be removed, or something along those lines. The 3000 power soul "gem" would probably have to be a respawning gem in your inventory labeled as "my soul" because of how enchantment works. The harder parts would be having enchantments on weapons that never run out, because that ability would be tied to the weapons, not the holder, so you would have to alter every weapon in the game to do that, and it would affect the weapons even if you didn't play as the spectre race, so refering to what I said before, you could have a respawning soul gem that you could just use to refill your magically enchanted weapons. Probably the most difficult thing to do in your request would be to make the spectres as you described them, with their legs being non-existant, presumably being all "ghosty" and fog like, and making the facial features be basically removed, and the skin being transparent. I wouldn't be able to do this for you but I have a pretty good idea of how it could be done, so hopefully someone else decides to do this mod for you.

I never tried, but removing facial features could probably be done to an acceptable extent if you mess around with the CS' Facegen for long enough. Making the whole thing White/Blue or Black/Red will already go a long way towards accomplishing that. There's an entire scripting function (SetActorAlpha) devoted to transparency as well. If you had OBSE, auto-refilling any enchanted items could be done by a quest script first checking if the player is a Spectre. If so, check if the player has a weapon equipped. If so, check if the weapon is enchanted. If so, check if its enchantment isn't full. If so, fill it. If you're going to be doing invisible Spectral Armor anyways, what's so hard about doing something with the legs?

 

That said, being immune to physical attacks doesn't seem particularly fun to me. Perhaps if there were more interesting drawbacks, like not being able to initiate conversation unless you have a posessed character near you (They could still initiate conversation with you, to prevent quest-breaking) and not being able to attack yourself? (Spells are fine, but perhaps your Magicka would slowly drain unless you leeched it from someone. I actually tried doing something similar once, but I tried to make posession way too posess-y (controlling the victim with your keyboard, accurate attacks, etc) and hit a brick wall. In fact, what if, instead of a Chameleon 25 power, you were heavilly chameleoned until you cast a spell or activated something, where you'd have to wait a few seconds and automatically go chameleon again?

 

...Though I don't really have time for this mod at the moment. Maybe in a few months, if nobody else wants to take it up.
