simon1806
Hi everyone,I have a weird problem and I'd really appreciate some advice.I'm running a modded game with .ini audio tweaks for iaudiocachesize=8192 and imaxsizeforcachedsound=2048If I run the game without headphones, using my monitor speakers, everything's fine, but if I try using my bluetooth headphones I hear horrible static noises, crackles, and stuttering in ambient music and npc speech.Any ideas on what to do? SpaceMachineSixThousandOne
Well you could reduce those numbers, they seem maxed out. But more importantly, where is this headset plugged in? Is it USB or back panel? I mean it's almost certainly not plugged into the display or the back of the video card. Is it analog or digital. Have you considered looking at the audio devices properties? Is the MOBO or Headset good enough to come with it's own software/hardware for running that kind of thing?
simon1806
Thanks! I changed the Ini settings, halved them, and that solved the problem! I was following Viva New Vegas Guide, I'm not an expert on this kind of thing, so I didn't think those edits could give me problems! Thanks again! goatsemeatpie
I hate to necro the thread but a solution I found is if you play an audio file as you start the game the crackling doesn't seem to happen. The game sounds fine through speakers on my end too. I think it's some sort of inherent connection issue with the bluetooth headphones.
