StormKat33
Howdy everyone! I would love to have a rabbit beast race. I would call it by it's scientific name Leporidae. I would like to write it into the lore of the Elder Scrolls. Will you all make me a rabbit race? Thanks

ArtMurder
I have a personal distaste for none predator beast races. Logically, it's impossible for a prey animal to evolve to something humanoid and complex, that is why no prey animal beast races exist in any known elder scrolls lore. (at least that I know of... and I know a lot) The reason is, predators have a complex life style, they have to think and evolve to there surroundings to survive. Eventually, they ascended to a higher intelligence then the animals around them. Prey animals... just run. They evolve ways to run faster, to see their hunter before it sees them. Nothing in science or logic or lore will ever make a prey animal spontaneously sentient, since their evolution does not breed intelligence. Not that I'm down putting this idea, I'm all for more beast races. I'd just much rather see wolves and foxes first, something that is actually known to exist in TES lore, and doesn't scream "logical impossibility". Then again, one of my favorite new characters is basically tobi from naruto, so to each his own... But, interdimmisional ninjas are still more possible in sentient bunny rabbits. But since when has plausibility had anything to do with skyrim mods anyways? Lastly, I don't see how the physics of skyrim could make a rabbit 'well'. You couldn't make custom legs, or do very much with the head, the ears would be very limited in size. The tail would work fine, but other then that you would have a really hard time making something that is actually recognizable as a rabbit. What I imagine when I think of a bunny anthro has large rabbit like legs, big floppy feet, a tiny rounded head and huge drooping ears. It would be a massive undertaking to create such a playable race in skyrim. I swear I'm not trying to shoot holes in your idea, I'm just giving my 2 cents. Take it with a grain of salt.http://i46.tinypic.com/25oulxc.jpg Edited November 22, 2012 by ArtMurder

Take it with a grain of salt.http://i46.tinypic.com/25oulxc.jpg That's your perception of how that works. We're not Gods but we would have to take the legs on Maya or Blender to shape them into humanoid forms to have them properly walk around. Rabbits can be predators too when they are of humanoid status. The humanoid rabbits would war "not constantly" but also form an uneasy alliance with the Nords, Imperials, and Bretons due to fear because of their non-humanoid rabbit brethren. I love the Nexus but we cannot keep limiting ourselves saying no to mod requests. We don't work for Bethesda, we just use the Mods for ourselves privately. There ain't no massive undertaking to this project, if so then the other races and the Elder Scrolls would have never been created at the time of Morrowind. The bodies would be perfect because we can use the Khajiit race as a preset to create them. The Rabbit race would have their homes in the forests with the Wood Elves and would easily get along with them. Azura is also credited for making the Khajiit from Bosmer stock in Elsweyr. ~Elder Scrolls Wikia "The Daedric prince Hircine is also known as the Huntsman of the Princes, and the Father of Manbeasts. He can call upon the Wild Hunt to punish those who defy him." ~The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Elder Scrolls Wikia I say yes that anything can make them spontaneously develop into humanoids, that's where the Daedric Lords come into place. Yeah they can just magically spawn up overnight too because we the developers created them and we can write anything we wish into our stories "lore friendly wise." That's why the Mod Request section was made and if we can't have what we want then what's the point of having a Mod Request thread?
