RHui_BC
Hi all, I hope this isnt a dumb questions... but I'm wondering how blood decals work on the character model, not on the environment. I noticed different armors either has these decals appear and some armors disable it completely. Is this an attribute of the armor either disabled or enabled which can be defined?Or is it more complicated in terms of whether a texture was actually made for a particular armor/texture set? mrslackpants
Gotta admit i do not know how they do it in this engine, since im new to this as well. But i do know that they used to use projectors sometimes to well... project a certain texture on a surface. Though i do not know if thats how they do it here as well. Ya, i figured it was something like that... but wonder if its a script or attribute that controls when a 'projection' is called? Guess i'll keep looking around to see if i can discover this mystery :P
mrslackpants
I'd check the projectiles and possibly scripts linked to it. I would imagine they would have a trace from the gun to the projectile until it hits flesh and then have a decal extend from there. Or something similiar. So it might be a good place to start.
