spacerogue
well I'v done my chare of modding for Oblivion , usually re textures ,no need to go look for them I never figured it out how to chear and I lost pretty much all of them *sob* but anyway , I DLed a mod that adds a duster to Moira in Megaton ,I thought I'd recolor it ,sounds easy enough. Well now its not really letting me save. If I want to replace the current file 'Outfit.DDS' it keeps whining that I don't have premmision too , is this becouse I installed the game on a vista computer , in Program Files ? (I tried finding an Unistall , no luck so far ) if I do want to safe the re tex to my desk is says something like 'too many channels' ? I just stepped over from my Collage version of photoshop CS to my own version of photo shop, what of course is the payable version Elements 7 , is this why ? cuz I'v never had this warning before. ----edit ok, found some of the problems ; delete the saved selections ! and drag your file from desk to the wanted folder. but I would still like to know how I can diecrly save from inside photo shop to the wanted data folder, pardon my noobness ... Moraelin
Well, Vista is a bit... special. As in the Special Olympics ;) All the Vista security seems to have some good ideas, but the implementation seems to have more with (A) being obnoxious enough to seem like it's doing anything, and (B) asking even the bleeding obvious and getting in the way as much as possible, so it can shift the blame when something goes wrong, than with © actually making the system more secure. Well, anyway, worst case scenario, you could run your graphics editor as administrator. The admin is a bit less hobbled.
