darkoraclegirl
I installed the NVSE and one of my mods (I can't remember what one at this time) tells me I need NVSE v9 and I supposibly only have NVSE v0. I have tried looking for this NVSE v9 yet it always takes me to the same one I already have. So I don't know what is going on here. And yes I am a noob to modding. I use mods a lot but don't really have a clue about how they work and what not so please. Small words.
apixaez
I was under the impression that if you get the latest, a mod will work with NVSE even if it requires an earlier version (as it calls the same commands, supposedly).. However, if really the case you can find older versions here Are you positive NVSE is loading when you start your game? Do you use Fallout Mod Manager or the Game Launcher? In case of the latter you're not loading NVSE, but you need to use the nvse_loader.exe (The file that's in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\).. Hope that helps. luthienanarion
There is no NVSE version or revision 0. Either NVSE is not loading or the script to detect and report it is faulty in whatever mod gives you that message.
bben46
The only good place to get NVSE is from the author's own site. http://nvse.silverlock.org/ Downloading from some other site will typically get you outdated versions, mislabeled versions and possibly a version that has been tampered with to make it work with a specific pirate copy of the game. Neither The Nexus or NVSE authors support anything except the legitimate versions of the game and NVSE. There is a lot of good information on the author's site also. Currently they are up to version v2Beta12.7 - this is considered to be the current version. NOTE: ALL NVSE versions are labeled beta. There is no v0.1, listed. There is a very old v1beta1 that is the original release. Nov of 2010The V9 you are asking about is actually either v1beta9 from April of 2011 - OR v2beta9 from July of 2011 v2beta12.7 is the latest stable release. there is a newer v3beta2.7 that is still under testing and not yet considered stable if you want to test it. Typically any mod that says it needs v9 should work with any version newer - try the v2beta12.
darkoraclegirl
Ok since there have beeb questions I try to answer them. Sometimes I do use a mod luncher. No not nexus's luncher because I can't get the one program need to run that one working on my computer so I use a modder created one I downloaded off of nexus and one of the buttons listed is "lunch NVSE". But even when I don't use that and click on the NVSE luncher it's self it still tells me the same thing. In the game a window pops up telling me that I need NVSE v9 and I supposibly only have NVSE v0. I don't know why it does that. The NVSE that I downloaded to us is listed as being nvse_2_beta12. I install it as the read me tells me to yet I get the same message every time. I hope that answers/explains things clearly.
