Signus Posted November 24, 2012 Share Posted November 24, 2012 Ok, so one of the worst parts of Skyrim and Oblivion was the quest compass always telling me exactly where I needed to be, or showing me dungeons ages before I saw them. Simply removing the quest compass isn't an option because the NPCs assume you're using the compass, and won't give you enough directions to finish the quest without the markers. In Morrowind you could ask for directions from NPCs, not so in Skyrim. I post this part because someone will invariably say "Just turn off the compass! Problem solved!" and miss the point. Maybe 8 months ago someone posted a mod that removes the compass and quest markers, but also adds in written directions in your journal on how to solve the quest. It gives you landmarks, tells you where to turn right, which roads to follow, stuff like that. Very much like how Morrowind used to be. However, I can't seem to find this mod now, can anyone help me?
