Arachnosan
Hey everyone. Relative neophite (that's "noob" in pseudo-intellectual geek speak :geek: ) to this whole modding thing, but I'm on a steep learning curve. I'm just wondering...I've been shopping around for cursors and crosshairs and have found a few that I like but they all seem a tad small. Not sure if this is an inherant design limitation in the game or if I have yet to find the discussion where some guru has told everyone how to change this. :wallbash: Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
FutureVisions
I personally prefer simple and smaller crosshairs and i think thats the general tought otherwise it seems like u keep looking at the crosshair instead of the target its pointing at. Other then that i think its possible to make them as big as u want. You can check this one out if u havent already. Its based on the AVP Predator crosshair and the action cursor on the Vault-tec symbol. i think its the biggest i've seen so far. also pretty nice looking. hope it helps http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=
TaggedYa
To OP Unfortunately there is a limit on how large you can make the cross hairs. I also like larger ones. I have used one of the changed cross hairs mods then redone the DDS file in PhotoShop to as large as I can go without encroaching on other textures in the same file. I would like to change the color of the "active" cross hair to a bright yellow or lime green for max visibility but haven't figured out how yet. If you would like to see what I use let me know and I will find a way to get it to you. (I haven't ever submitted a mod and I wouldn't submit what I use as it is just a texture change on someone else's mod) Curt
