csgators
Hi eveyone, I've been away from Skyrim for a few years (at least 5) so I'm trying to catch up. I have myself a shiny new install of SE with survival mode. I forgot just how bad the interface on PC was. I used to use SkyUI but I saw on his mod page that it's not 100% compatible with hardcore. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Can you live with it? Is there a better UI mod? Thanks for your patience. anjenthedog
Afaik, SkyUI is widely used by those who don't use the vanilla menu system. It's also listed as a dependency by many mods that provide their own MCMs. So it really doens't matter if game UI sucks or not. (I mean really, compared with a seasoned professional-level tool like Photoshop, Autocad, etc, almost all games use little more than shoddy Kiosk-level UI), what matters is that it provides UI on par with the game's own UI, but with expanded capability for addons. I know of no other option. SkyUI does its job.

anjenthedog
You'll have to check on the survival mode mod pages (ie those mods that support it) as well as the SkyUI mod page to install any necessary optional patches that may or not exist. The requirements listings for mods usually spell out what's needed.
