As far as I know SKSE don't crash. SKSE load Skyrim and Skyrim is crashing.

It is probably one mod but never certain which one. It could be a mod which brings new scripts, but in one setup it works perfect, and in another it gives crashes. For me the latest mod I removed was Wet Function Redux. It worked perfect in Skyrim LE but in SE it give crashes.

I see in your load order you have mods with add scripts. If I where you, I looked at those mods and disable them one by one to find the culprit.

It is probably a mod conflict. As noted above it is very unlikely skse64 crashed your game because you have presumably played for some time before this CTD. This can, and does, happen frequently with a mod conflict but a conflict with skse64 would have happened when you first started that profile.

I got exactly the same problem. Gameplay 100% fine and stutterfree for hours. Entering Solitude and watching the scene stutter starts. Sometimes it crashes, sometimes it continues until the axe hits the head - that moment I will get a CTD no matter what...

As I recall from last year, Roggvirs execution was a problem many (or several anyway) seem to have faced. I didn't myself, and I don't recall what the solution was or solutions were, but I do remember the traffic when reading the tech support fora.

 

Anyway, a quick Bing search produced a large number of returns. I'd recommend you click the link and visit some of the topics it lists.

I actually did that before asking ;) Unfortunately it seems that other problems with this scene are so common, that I cannot find a solution for my _specific_ one. For example there seems to be at least two popular mods dealing with dragons and birds that also cause that problem every time - none of which I am using. Also many people experience script problems/the scene not loading at all - which is most likely related to it beeing the second script heavy scene most users will be experiencing after helgen (and back than propably hadn't installed many mods). The stutters were caused by some other conflicts I was able to sort out and now everything plays perfectly fine - until the exact moment when the axe hits the head... But I just skipped the scene so its fine for me at the moment...

A bit further in the game I noticed it wasn't the scripted execution that crashed my game - it was _every_ kind of mutilation. This was simply the first I came across. I remebered that the Skeleton mod mentioned a patch for mutilations when installing (which I did not active). Turns out it is for compatibiity with another mod called "deadly mutilations" - which isn't officially ported to SE yet. However, I managed to find a version and gave it a try, since I suspected the mod to change the mechanics behind mutilation - hopefully into something that doesn't crash my game. It worked! No more chrashes at the execution scene!

that's strange. I've never installed deadly mutilations, and yet I have never had any issues when decapitations occur.

 

(In fact, I just got off the game a few minutes ago after finishing a quest, and during the past 2-1/2 hours, I probably decapitated 15 or 20 opponents.)
