BeardWhisperer
Hello, I have been trying to use FOMM in order to take advantage of the FOOK mod for New Vegas. I am following the directions for installing FOOK from it's page, and whenever I click "package manager" and try logging in to my Nexus account, it loads for a second and goes straight to the error message "Something bad seems to have happened. As long as...." I have looked at a couple different forum posts with people having the same problem, but after trying to resolve this multiple times to no avail I have lost my patience and figured I'd share my crash dump info and see if any of you all can help me resolve it. I am fairly new to the whole modding thing, and very new to FOMM... BeardWhisperer
Hmmmm, I had Nexus Mod Manager installed, so I uninstalled it and restarted my computer. Now it has not crashed again (yet, will update if it changes its mind). Do these 2 mod managers conflict with one another? I'd hate to have to reinstall NMM every time I wanted to play another game outside of Fallout... blove
Try: FOMM --> Settings --> General --> uncheck Check for new FOMod versions and Add missing info to FOMods --> OK The online abilities of FOMM are truly broken. Turning them off should get rid of your error. Early versions of NMM and FOMM shared the same "Install Info" folder for mods. NMM adds some information to the packages that is incompatible with FOMM, but...they no longer share the same folder and should not be a problem. BeardWhisperer
I managed to get FOOK loaded (I think properly) without doing those steps. But now when I try to load my game it just stays stuck on the loading screen... I've tried running NVSE.exe as administrator, regularly, and running from steam and it does not load. Wondering if I even installed FOOK correctly. I will disable those settings though, perhaps that might help, although I don't see how... hmmm
BeardWhisperer
Started a new game and everything is working great now. :) Thankfully I enjoy starting new games in Fallout on a very regular basis, and thankfully I wasn't far at all into my last save, so all is well. Thank you so much for your help blove!
