no main menu

so i started up new vegas after an extensive mod install, at it goes through the normal paces... ending at the main menu screen with no menu and no cursor.

 

music is still playing, the background picture is correct... but there is no main menu (continue, load, new, options, quit, etc.) and no cursor....

not even a single view.... but i figured i would let any future viewers know that i continued to fiddle with the mods... and eventually, disabling my nvedit "merged patch" got it to work.

 

so i went into nvedit, checked the merged patch for what mods were causing the most problems which needed to be merged... then deleted those from my data folder and made a new merged patch.... and now it works.

Haha - I feel ya bud. Every time I need help, it feels like no one else exists and I end up figuring it out on my own later.
