Thandal
You have to take things step-by-step and pay attention to the instructions mod authors provide. The Wolf mod requires that you invoke the Command Console in order to implement it. From the Description: Installation:1) Extract the rar2) Copy the folder "Link's Wolf" into the override:C:\Users\***\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override3) Make sure you have the required mod installed Required mod:Gogetto's A Wolf Is A Mans Best Friend:http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=112From Gogetto's mod you need only the folder "DogReplacer-Wolf". How to make the mod work? When you got the mabari and its in your party, select the mabariand use the cheat code "runscript appearance 49", then save the gameand you can enjoy your gameplay as Link and his wolf companion. The CharGenMorph Compilation mod requires a whole bunch of other mods to have already been installed as well, but the chargenmorphcfg.xml files associated with them need to be deleted, (as is explained in the Description.) That mod is the .xml file that makes all those others play nice together. Installation: 1) VERY IMPORTANT! Delete EVERY SINGLE chargenmorphcfg file you can find on your computer before you do this. Look inside all the files you have downloaded before and delete every chargenmorphcfg file. This is very important. 2) Download [extract, and place] all the mods I mentioned above [into your "\override" folder]. 3) When you have done this, DELETE ALL the chargenmorphcfg files you can find once again in the new mods you have downloaded. (You will most likely find a lot of chargenmorphcfg files in the Ferelden models folders for example (delete them), and so on... Put everything else in the override) But delete all the chargenmorphcfg files, this is important!! 4) When you are ABSOLUTELY sure, you have deleted ALL the chargenmorphcfg files in ALL folders, download my chargenmorph file and open with WinRaR and put the file in your override folder, desktop or wherever you want it. 5) Enjoy! (Oh, and you do know that the CharGenMorph mods only affect what's available during the Character Creation phase, right? They won't change anything at all for characters you're already playing... :whistling: ) Does that help?

Hai. link one i figured that i had to use commands. its the hair etc ones i seem to have probs with. Downladed all the items, deleted all the Morph as requested. then opened the game. but the selections are not there in char creator screen. Most i figured if i had miss Morph the comp crashes when i try to use it ( as obviously i would be missing bits like hair maps in needs etc) but it doesn't seem to want to acknowlage the overide file at all. I though i might be missing an installer or something to make dragon age see there is stuff in overide or tell it to update overide (like you do with the nexus skyrim downloader my friend was showing via skype) but it doesn't mesion any of that. i though i just jump in overide and hair selecions tones etc that I added from the site would appear in the character selection so i could make my character. but sadly not :( am trying to make a female human noble. am i missing that the selections only work for certain character selections? Thandal
You say "override", but it's not at all clear what you mean. There is a folder called that where many (but not all) player mods can be placed. Then there is a mod file type, e.g. "greatmod.override", that is used only with the DAO-ModManager (DAMM) program. But neither of those fit with how you've used the term... :whistling: Anyway, if you followed all of Alastairswife's instructions exactly, it will work. And if you don't grab all the mods listed, the one's you do have should work fine. Yes, the game has certain race and gender restrictions on hairstyles and other aspects of the appearance. (Male characters don't get to pick eye shadow or blush colour, for example.) So not everything is available to every character you might try to create. Personally, I find it easier to download each of the mods I want to use individually, extract each mod to its own folder that I create in my "\override" folder, then run Terra_Ex's "CharGenMorph Compiler" utility to create the .xml file. As at the moment i am just extracting the zip files of the mods and dumping them into the overide folder I created in the core folder. like so http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/KITG_22/Overide.jpg Edited November 28, 2012 by OrlithNightfire
Thandal
No, no! If you're going to use Alistairswife's compilation cgmc.xml, then DO NOT use Terra_Ex's utility. They are each trying to produce a chargenmorphcfg.xml file that combines all the entries from all the mods (that they deal with) into a single one. AW's does it for the very specific set of mods that are listed in the Description; CC Tints & Tones v1-3, Pineappletree's Vibrent Colors 1_31, Chargen Package v1, More Hairstyles, Bidelles Make-up Studio v03, Pretty Faces All Races Female Preset Heads 2, Anto Hairstyles, Ferelden Models, Beautiful Elf Female Presets, Tamsyns Elf With Hair, Look Hair, Hairstyle Day, LOTC's Female Eyelashes, Sushis Female Elf Preset, New Textures by MissB, and The Rapture's Witcher. It also requires the installation of several other appearance-related mods; Dracomies True Textures, Dr. DJ's Bandit Emporium, Tucked Hair, (necessary hairstyle: ef_har_hct1a_0) and Blood Dragon Face Tattoo (necessary file is "uh_tat_blooddragon_0t.dds"). TE's does it on-the-fly for any and all mods that supply a cgmc.xml. Looking at your screenshot, it appears that you're missing a significant number of the important files needed to allow AW's Chargenmorph Compilation to work correctly, (PineappleTree's Vibrant Colors and Dracomies True Textures being the most obvious.) So, I'm not sure which way you want to go. If you're going to get AW's to work, you really have to follow the instructions, and that means following the instructions for each of the component mods as well. TE's works differently, (I find it simpler) but also has instructions that need to be followed. :whistling:
