Wasteland Explorer Motorcycle STOLEN!

Recommended Posts

This is about the "Alternate Travel" optional add-on for FWE.

I used the "Escape to Dealership" option which Fast Travels you back into the dealership. I walked outside and the bike was not there. Walked back into the dealership and it was gone.

Opened my pip-boy to use the "recall motorcycle" option to 'send it to the last place you rode it to' and ... nothing.

I walked back to the place I originally escaped from. Wasn't there either.

Went back to the dealership and spoke to the dealer about the "motorcycle recovery service," shelled out the 100 caps for it and then walked outside to find... nothing.

After that I tried using the "recall motorcycle" and the "GPS" (quest marker) showed that it was located in the middle of the Potomac River just north of Springvale.

So I walked my fat, power-armored butt over there swam into the middle of the Potomac and got advanced radiation poisoning and.. nothing. The bike was not there.

Even tried noclipping everywhere mentioned above in the search.

The bike is just gone.. and I had like 40 teddy bears in the saddle bags :wacko: i was hoping to sell those in The Pitt! :confused:

I sure hope the mod author happens to read this and can give some help :psyduck:

Otherwise I'll have to go shoot the dealer for fraud and risk karma loss :pinch:

You'll loose progress and settings for the motorcycle though.

Thanks for the reply Alfred :)

But I GOT to get my 30 or 40 something teddy bears back...

Ah, the Bears :biggrin:

use console command player.additem 1f21f 40 :thumbsup:

(replace 40 with how many you want)

No no... I can't do that. That would be ... 'unethical' :sweat: Thanks though :blush:

GOOD NEWS also:

[sOLVED]: Missing Wasteland Explorer Motorcycle :dance:

I went into the dealership and changed the paint job to the default 'black' paint job and when I went outside, lo and behold there it was sitting out in the sun waiting for me :woot:

I opened the saddlebags and there were my teddy bears, all 37 of them :wub: as well as my 16 Chinese assault rifles (I'm making a deal with Pronto at Lock and Load), and all the already-read books for my Megaton apartment :D

I immediately saved the game and then went into the dealership and changed the paint job to blue and then.. motorcycle gone again, went back in and tried all the other paint jobs besides the default black and those didn't work either. So, long story short, if the Wasteland Explorer Motorcycle dissapears and the 'motorcycle recovery service' doesn't work, change it to the default black paint job to fix. :)

Another happy ending :thumbsup:

I had the same problem as the OP,however, I didn't use any new paint job so I couldn't revert to correct the problem.....Had a loads of items in my saddlebags so their gone forever.

Just started a new game and I'm sure the motorcycle fast travel is bugged as i can still select to fast travel on the map, when it should tell me that it's been disabled.

I guess I should also say few things now that I've been trough the same.

Curiously enough, I had last paint job reward and used "Escape to the showroom" as my fuel was low. I was hit with that same problem it just vanished without a trace, had an empty quest marker next to potomac river(Good thing Firelance happened to spawn there), you name it. And as expected switching paint jobs fixed the problem, though I can now only use one paint-job (Blue one). All the others just make it disappear, for some reason.

Hi,
a possible peaceful solution :wink: :
- disable the alt Travel part of FWE
- start your game and make a new save
- re-enable alt Travel and load the previous made save
The motorcycle should be available again :thumbsup:
You'll loose progress and settings for the motorcycle though.

Tried this one. Result was that it broke it completely this time: I disable Alternate travel plugin from FOMM and made a clean save etc and motorcycle came back all right....with the exception that configuration menu was missing, I couldn't repair or refuel it. I could still ride it though....for one time and after that it locked up I couldn't use it anymore. As far as I can tell, there's been one incident that is the same http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/452697-fwe-alternate-travel-no-options-repair-does-not-work/ and only work-around seems to be loading to earlier save.

Try calling on the reference and move to player.

The Motorcycle References depend on the paint job adopted and are as follows:

Original Motorbike colour scheme: XX001551 (weBike0REF);

Camo Bike: XX031B2D (weBike1REF);

Blue Bike: XX031B2E (weBike2REF);

Silver and Red Bike (weBike3REF);

Flame Bike (weBike4REF).

(XX is the mod index number. Shown on the Fallout Mod Manager)

Example:

open console commands using ` key;

Type " prid XX031B2D " press enter; then

Type "moveto player" press enter

The first command will select the motorcyle (in this case the camo bike), the second command will move the reference to the player's position.

I guess this would be the case and I tried it and it worked for me when the motorcycle somehow disappeared.

Knowing the console commands and being familiar with GECK and FO3Edit will help a lot when dealing with bugs and general issues.
