undeadblade117
Hello everyone! This is my first time trying to post something here for questions and I am deeply sorry if this is the wrong place but I am having a bit of an issue. So recently I ran into a bad situation where my registry got messed up, my drivers went crazy and I had to do a restore.Well upon completing the restore I was informed that Vortex was corrupted and needed to reinstall. Easy. Done. I was shocked when all my mods were still there and it even deployed! Nice! Checked with SSEEdit: GoodChecked with Loot: Good No Errors and Warnings nothing new. However it was then that something bad happened. When I try to run FNIS it will Read all my mods attached to animations it loads to where it states. All Anim Lists Scanned. Generating Behavior Files...No GENDER directory male38 GENDER modifications for Animations \ female...then......Nothing. The program stops responding and freezes. I have tried restarting my pc and it just won't operate anymore. To make matters worse. SKSE launches EXTREMELY slow and even then it simply says. Program Not Responding before ending. Now perhaps this is a simple problem and I am being dumb. Very possible and I accept that. First Question is what would be the best way to repair this?Seeing as the mods appear to be working okay but SKSE and FINIS are not working would reinstalling these fix the issue? Or is it a situation where you need to uninstall every single mod and reinstall? Would I need to go onto nexus to get the files again or can I just use vortex reinstall function? If anyone that is more knowledgeable on the situation can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Hanaisse
I would first suggest you run your game through the Steam launcher, no SKSE, no vortex. This will help sort out the registry again that I believe FNIS is looking for when it runs. It might not hurt to also verify the integrity of your game while you're there.
