SyKoHaVoK
OOC: Would it be possible to give a description of the Vampire city as well, and the way it looks, etc.?
MDRud216
um.. yeah... It will be coming soon... as well as a major human city... Mt. tatu The creature took more steps toward the Eldest, never losing what would be eye contact, he stopped short of the throne, his peircing gaze locked on the Eldest. "Coward!! You have dishonored you kind with the disgracful decision of taking no action against the Vampiric Hoarde," The creature yelled into the Eldests face, his voice was like that of a whisper louder than half an army charging into battle. Then in a new tone he yelled like an enraged man.. "You are a disgrace to your kind Sateraious!! leading an army from your spire!" Without a noise the creature drew his sword with speed unlike anything a Gaurdian could acheive, he thrust the curved blade towards the Eldest, but was blocked by the male without a father sword of another Gaurdian, within moments the room was converging on the throne, chaos erupted as the first of the Gaurdian heads were severed adn the stranger ducked below blades and bent to dodge blows with nearly twice the spead that a Vampire could acheive. Shadow of the Fallen
OOC: Guess that answers the weapon question... Hehe, I know what "the creature" is and more then that I have a damned good idea of what the plot twist is.. You are one of those hopeless epic people, just like me. IC: Kin'sharion was fighting his way through the crowd to the creature, whatever it was, belowing out orders to the guardians. "Pin him down! Don't let him leave! I want his head on a pole to show the next of his kind that the Guardians mean business!!" He fought against the tides of people, beckoning them to make way, many didn't need beckoning once they saw the rage embedde in his expression. His hood had slid down to his shoulders now, from the vigorous movement of battle. He had no care weather it was up or down at the moment, he only wanted that creature dead. He noticed suddely that he was bursting through the mass instead of simply pushing. He crashed past people like a bull on a rampage. Difference was he had both the size and anger to scare the bull into cowardice. Being a good head taller then most of the guardains made him easy to see. And being an elder drew people behind him like a magnet draws metal. Warcries flooded the great hall as warriors thrust themselves into battle.. Most of them were left bloodied. The creature was making his way to the exits. "Send word to the gaurds down below," he cried out above the ruckus, "NOONE LEAVES THE MOUNTAIN!" Then, swinging his great sword with unmeasurable strength, and mellenia of perfection, he dove into the battle.
Evien
Evien cursed not bringing his longbow where he could have picked off the creature in the first seconds of the battle. As the chaos broke out he drew his kantana and leaped into combat. But he had been on the outskirts of the room so a collassel crowd had formed. He did his best to shove forward but it would be a long time until he was near enough to the creature. OOC: Was this creature some sort of mutent? Or will we find out? Probably the latter. ensis
In a few days time Elratha had completed Makura's new sword. Makura had stayed with Elratha that time, every day training out in the field before working on the new sword. The sword was now sharper and stronger than ever. Makura tried it out and was amazed. "This sword... this is amazing!" Makura exlaimed. "This is such exquisite craftsmanship!" "I forged that completely anew," replied Elratha, "That sword is made fully out of the specially forged Torabar metal. This sword will break only under the pressure of the gods. Don't fail it, and it will not fail you. Come now, we must be on our way to Mount Tatu." Makura grinned, "Perhaps I shall get a chance to show Bahdrain my new sword..." "Perhaps," Elratha said, "But for now let's focus on our trip. The boat I have works better with more than one manning it." The guardians Elratha and Makura now begin their 1500+ mile trip to Mount Tatu.
MDRud216
ooc: you only know because I tend to spill information when people talk to me on Instant Messenger... but you have no idea about the plot twist Mt. Tatu The Gaurdians flooded to the location of the creature... utter chaos. A new glint of light reflected as a sword swung in the center of the mob, an unearthly scream was let out and with a strong surge of energy the creature found itself on the ceiling of the room, the astonished gasps were held back as it crawled along it like an insect, cursing in its shrill voice as a deep red blood dripped from its side. From somewhere an arrow came flying, the creature ducked lower onto the cieling and the arrow snapped as it hit the stone, missing the creature. A few of the younger Gaurdians persued it, following on the ground as it made its way to the large ashen doors. The creature arrived at the southern wall and began a descent, reaching the top of the doors ten feet below the cieling. The floor was still 25 feet below. In the confusion the doors were opened, and the creature escaped, the dozen Gaurdains chasing after it. Kin Sharion glimpses the creature escaping, but turns his head toward the eldest... Many Gaurdians hover around him, blood soaks his robes just below his ribs.
Evien
Evien thought about pursuing the creature but knew it was futile. Instead he decided to stick around and see the aftermath. Thoughts about what the creature had been flashed through his mind. "A rogue, mutant guardian?" an even more disturbing thought passed through his mind:"could it be a new breed of vampire?" he shudered and came back to reality realizing that the Eldest was wounded. He rushed to his side to see what he could do to help.
mrpyromania
OOC:Sorry,I was away all weekend,I didn't get a chance to post. IC:Ulid wondered idly how many vampires would be sired tonight in Xiton as he studied the deep darkness of the forest, searching for his quarry. A faint snapping of twigs was all that could be heard, but he was enough. Ulid crept towards the sound, going into a light stance, poised on the balls of his feet with each step. He stalked his prey through a small forest. The man though he would be safe in the dense foliage. Ulid smiled as he crouched down behind the unsupecting human. This foolish mortal thinks he has outwoodsmaned me!" though Ulid scornfully. No mere mortal could ever hope of eluding him. Smiling a wicked grin that held no warmth,he wisperd into his foods ear "What are we looking for?" The man was satsifngly scared, beacuse he whirled around,a look of horror on his face. Ulid let the feeling wash over him. The pure ecasty of fear, with a slight tinge of hope. Equsite. Much better than the dull, blank fear of the cattle. That's what he thought of the humans that were brought to the city. He disdained any such thing. It weakend the vampires, the hunt is what they needed for survival,to keep there wits and skills sharp. "You get three seconds." said Ulid, rising. He kept his evil grin, enjoing the man's horror. The human could see no hope in running,so withdrew a daggar. Ulid snorted disgustidly. The thing was of poor craftmanship, and daggars are one of the easiet weapons to disarm. The man foolishly put the blade sticking down in his hand, and luned, taking a sweep at the Vampires belly. He threw his back up,doging the swing. The man, thinking he had the upperhand, stabed. A very bad mistake. Ulid twisted, cathing the mans wrist. He twisted the arm slighty,so the joint would bend towards the man. He brought his other hand down in a hammer smash, braking his arm. He relased the daggar, and fell to his knees. The feeling of agony was very tasty, but no quite so satisfaing. Ulid brough his knee up and slammed the humans face, sending him tumbling backawards. The terror lasted only a few seconds more, then it switched to the dull, hopless fear. Seeing the sport was at a end,Ulid sighed and leaped into the air, landing ontop of the prone man. After he finsihed taking a few good drains of the man,he stood up and finished the man off. He broke the spine at the base of the neck, and removed the head. He wasen't very hungry for blood, just the raw emotions. He turned and ran, back towards Xiton. He took on look at the head in his hands, remebering the pledge he had made not to sire another vampire, and tossed it aside. He doubted someone could still live after no head and broken spine.OOC:Fewwww, that took a while
MDRud216
Mt. Tatu Evien As you turn you see that many Guardians have gathered around him, but there is enough room for you to make your way to him also, as you do so and you get closer you see the severity of the wound, a long gash in the robes extends from the Eldests bottm left rib to the right side of his gut, around the tears in the robes the cloth is soaked with blood, you can only hope that the gash was not too deep. Outside the Great Hall The Creature dropped from the ceiling, ending its insect crawl and beginning a sprint on two legs.. it ran with amazing speed down the large hall, heading around a corner. The 12 Gaurdians rounded the corner, the distance between them and it was growing, "Gaurds Gaurds!!" they yelled, but to no avail, by now the creature was nearly at the end of the hall. It rounded another corner. Xiton ooc: don't worry I haven't forgotten about you vampires As the new arrivals found their way around the city a few of the older Vampires began to gather once again in the Hall (yes, players this includes you regardless) you begin to order yourselves around the center of the room, seeing what you already know of... the sacrificial tables are arranged in a radial pattern around the center of the room, which is also the highest point, the lowest point being the edge between the wall and floor where there is no passage to a room, as those are on top of a slight slope. On the lowest areas of the floor (which I just described) the blood had accumulated and the new arrivals were drinking their first blood in a manner that disgusted any who had drank from a living human. In the center of the room which the vampires had gathered around a featurless pedestool sat with no apparent purpose, but those who gathered knew its purpose well. From a passage directly above it in the ceiling a few dozen figures crawled out insect like along te ceiling and down along the wall until they reached the floor, then a final figure dropped straight down, landing directly onto the pedestool. You bow as does everyone else, for this is the leader of the city, that shares his name. Xiton."I see that we had a good hunt this evening?" his foul voice echoed in the cavern, and was replied by many shouts of agreement. "I see that our new arrivals are feeding," shrill laughter filled the room, and those drinking from the thick old** blood brought themselves lower to the ground in humility for their human side regretted and refused the liquid and their new form, but their ever more controlling cursed state desired it. With the last of the shouts Xiton dissapeared through the passage in the ceiling where he had come. Those who had forshadowed Xiton's appearance also withdrew back through the passage, but rather than a strong leap as Xiton had done they crawled back up the walls. Brief apearences were becoming more common, but it didn't matter. Just the site of one of those who had been created by the gods was enough to motivate and inspire a Vampire and induce the cruelty that they would inflict upon mankind in the future. More Background Info Sorry guys, this was my fault for having an incomplete library of knoledge in the sign up sheet for you, so I am providing it now. Vampire Society Vampires do not have a defined government, laws, nor a form of police. Everything revolves around fear and age. The youngest of the Vampires fear their elders and therfore respect and obey them, ussually a single city like Xiton houses nearly 40 gnerations at once, with the oldest being anywhere from 7000 to 7 years old*. Each city is ruled by an elder Vampire, referred to as an ancient, his Gaurd is the first generation of his bloodline and was the group of figures that apeared from the passage in the ceiling before Xiton. All Vampires after that belong to the common group, and the last 2-3 generations the yearlings, or "new arrivals" who have not yet earned feeding rights on live corpses but must drink from the blood that has drained to the outside of the room unless thy have killed they have killed the person themself outside the city, in which case they can enjoy fresh blood. Throughtout the common group (which is a wide age group) the fear by age rules still apply. Bloodlines are the divisions of the Vampiric Empire, known to them as the Divine Nation. Each Bloodline has its own city, if not 2 or 3 cities ussually in close proximity, these bloodlines are rivals and compete often for feeding grounds and the rights to collect from certain cities or towns. All bloodlines can be traced back to Hesptbet, the oldest surviving Vampire, who rules the Vampiric Capital. All Vampires in Xiton and other cities of the bloodlines contain only Vampires who were once human, with the exception of their leaders. I.E. Xiton, the leaders are of the many generations created by the gods. * this measurment of age refers to years spent as a Vampire, not including the time before when they were human, ** as oposed to fresh blood, striaght from a living human
