mrpyromania
Ulid walsed down the long, twisting passageways of the underground city. A permantent feeling alwase hung in the air of vampire city's. He was not sure quite what, but it was relaxing. He wandered down to the slaughtering room, where the newlings were probably still feasting. He hoped to pick a fight to satiate his need. The man in the wilderness did not feel as...filling as usual. He entered the room just as the vampire messenger was killing a Newborn. "Looks like someone though of it first" though Ulid wryly. He could tell something else was going on,by the feeling in the air. A sense of...urgency. "So what do we have here?" asked Ulid, swagering into the room. "decided to have a meal with the Newlings?" he spared a glance at the Newborn's feeding, playinly disdaining it. That was no way to feed. The only true way was out in the hunt. The only satisfaing way at least. He had hoped to see get a glimpse Xiton again. The vampire had a certain deadly grace he admired. And a feeling of power and certinty usually followed in his wake. MDRud216
"Call Xiton!!" The Arrival called out to no one in particular, turning his direct attention away from Nyte for a moment. I must speak with him..." his commanding voice tralied off as a lean figure dropped 0 feet from an opening in the center of the high ceiling. He wlaked fearlessly over to the new arrival, who before had seemed so commanding... he now seemed to shrink as Xiton hovered over him."It is a day of sorrow indeed when a divine city falls to the inferior beings of this world, come with me, I would like to interveiw you in private." Xiton gestures for the new arrival to follow and walks towards the wall, beginning an insect climb up the domed surface and into his quarters above the central pedestool. Tinduriel
Tiemuile had watched all the commotion in silence at a dark corner of the hall. It had always been obvious to him that humans would someday cause big trouble to his kin. They aren't stupid and as the newcomers news tell they know of our weakness, the daylight. Couple of vampires had caught Tiemuiles attention between the feeding and the arrival of the newcomer. Of course one of these was Xiton, every time Tiemuile had seen this vampire, he had experienced something special. There was something in him, surely it was not his witty way with the words, as todays speeches show. It was probably Xiton's great age, and his grandeur. That could be, as Tiemuile thought, all in his head tough. Just very good propaganda. How he wished he had that something, so he could rule a great vampire city or even every vampire out in the world. The other one that had caught Tiemuiles attention, was a very humanlike beeing, but it looked like a vampire. It had a black outfit and green eyes. This vampire, was the first to talk to the newcomer. Did he think he was something special, or maybe he even was. Although Tiemuile didn't have any memory of this one, he had probably seen him couple of times but never could he have been bothered to strike a conversation. Now seemed like a good time, afterall the newcomer and he seemed to have somekind of chat before. Maybe he got some special info from him. So Tiemuile walked to this thin and pale humanlike vampire and telepathically sent a message (it's almost like ICQ ) to him. "You seem to have made good friends with the news courier, surely he gave you some special information, now did he? And perhaps you would be willing to share it with others." Then Tiemuile looked the vampire right in to his green eyes, which seemed endlesly deep and strange. But then he understood to regain his wits and consentrate, it would not do well to him to look like an fool before this guy. He might prove to be usefull "ally". Shadow of the Fallen
Kin'sharion's spirit rested upon his body's shoulder. Perched there in the silence until Evein's soul too floated simmilarly. Around them the candles cast an erie feeling with their representation. The light, below them where the candles were, represented the world. Each candle represented a soul, many representing large groups. But it went deeper then just the world.. It was the plane of the living. Above it, the darkness represented the opposite. Death. To walk up the stairs to this platform was, symbolicly, to die. Supposedly, your spirit could only leave the body through death.. And so the magic of the source required something like death in order to allow such. But, this was not the point of the meeting, this was not the why.. This was only the how. Kin'sharion watched Evien's soul intently as he hovered there, suspended in space. "My son, dark things cloud your essence. Tell me of what bothers you." ensis
Elratha looked at his weapon, and back to Makura. "We should expect the worst, and stand firm. At this point I can tell the ship isn't a Guardian ship, but I can't tell wether or not that ship is human or not." Elratha told Makura. Elratha drew his male without a father sword out, the sword had served him well for many thousands of years. If need be, it would not fail him now. He silently prayed to Mormura to favor the side of good.
MDRud216
As the small ship draws closer you see that it seems to be a one level longboat it is built somewhat cruedly from wood without many intricate designs or unnesecary features but it seems to be sturdily built. It is about 70 feet long and has heavily built men rowing it in sinc. They are armored in chain mail and some heavy furs, a brutal amount of clothing for the day's heat.It draws up slowely to your boat and you notice a sudden look of surprise and hesitation on the men's faces, but an assertive yell from somewhere in the rear of the boat erase the expressions. The men lift wood shafted axes and begin boarding your small boat over a wide board they had set down. The first two attack at once and are sent overboard with deep wounds from your male without a father swords, 38 others wait for their turn at the ultimate prize: Gaurdian Skulls, to slay a fabled creature such as yourself would bring great honor. Xiton It has been hours since the new arrival disapeared through Xiton's chamber passage and the sense of unease had not let up since. suddenly many of the sharper eared vampires looked up to the opening and in answer Xiton himself dropped down to his place with the new arrival and another unrecognized vampire."We abandon our city tonight." the statement was crude, blunt and completely uncalled for, it was replied only by silence. "In light of recent events, and human uprisings our lord and the oldest of our kind has called to us, we travel to Hesptbet and unite with our bretheren under a single banner, it is time and no longer will the banner of Xiton or any bloodline whip in the cruel wind of the mortal world. We leave in two nights when the moon is new and the night is darkest." No cheers were heard from the undead, for the shock of an event so unroutine had brought on an impenatrable silence that could not be broken until Xiton had long since retreated to his chambers. But when it had broken the caverns were filled with an endless conversation partaken of by cruel and ageless voices: the voices of the undead. Dagger of Symachus
"Well this is an interesting turn of events." said Volrath to himself. "I believe this has never happend before." Volrath began walking out of the Sacrifical Chamber. Outside Volrath heard several younger vampires speaking amongst themselves. "Actually uniting with other vampires, its comepletely impossible. We are all so independent." "This is an extreme time, it requires an extreme reaction." Volrath interrupted. "Volrath....we, we were just discussing what Xiton was speaking of inside."replied another vampire. "Please...." the vampire began stepping back. "Why would I do anything to you? But since you insist...."Volrath with two slices of his blade cut open the vampire's throat, he let the second wakizashi their holding up the body in mid air. "Now I will be returning to my quarters. Do not disturb me." He pulled the blade out of the dead vampire's throat, letting the blood quickly come out as the body fell. Volrath walked to his tower, his bloodlust had been satsified though if he could get more it could help with his sadistic glee. Sadly though he encountered no vampire foolish enough to attack him or give him any reason to attack him. He arrived at his tower, several hours later. He climbed up 15 flights of stairs, and arrived in his quarters. There was not much here except for a smaller room that he used to make sacrifical offerings to the gods and a small smithing room. He walked into the smithing room, and took a hammer and began heating his blades. He quickly had removed all of the rust and sharpened his wakizashis that they could not be improved further. He checked both, just to be sure. "Well, I'll miss this place, no matter how much I hated it". He placed his wakizashis on his belt and went over to get his armor. He found his finest for long travels since he knew that he wouldnt be repairing it anymore or very little if he did. He began placing it on and then put on a black cloak with a hood. He then put his wakizashis on his belt, underneath the black cloak to make himself seem less threatening and to help provoke attacks. He then departed from the tower and began walking to one of the city exits. As he walked he continued to find several new vampires, though he ignored all of them until he finally got close to the exit near sunrise. "We have next to nothing now, no body armor, no weapons, nothing to protect us from the sun. And yet you still expect us to abandon the city"yelled one of the younger vampires at a Elder. "You will gain more resistence to the sun and it will not kill you. As for weapons and armor, didn't you ever train in unarmored combat? If not then you better learn, and most of the more experience won't teach you. As for forging weapons, you might have a chance if you had a higher status inside of our society. Sadly though you have no hope of it." said the Elder. He laughed it, finding the new vampires troubles amusing. "You're equipment seems adequate." said the new vampire, as he lunged at the Elder. The Elder quickly pushed off the blow and grab the claymore from the back of his armor. "That was foolish!" The Elder chopped at the new vampires head though he quickly avoided it with what seemed agility of a god. "Wha..." the Elder said in awe as all of his blows were blocked as though they were being predicted. The elder jumped and begin slamming the blade down, hoping to slit the new vampires head in half. The new vampire used two hands to hold the blade in mid air and then twisted the Elders arm and took the claymore from the Elders hand. "I don't think it was that foolish." said the vampire as he slit the Elders head in half. He began cleaning the blood off the armor with the Elders old garments, and then put on the armor. "Does anyone have some armoring tools?" cried out the vampire. A man walked up to him, obviously in awe of his power and handed him a smithing hammer. The vampire began smithing and the claymore looked like it had never seen combat at all. He placed the claymore on the back of his armor just as the Elder had it. Volrath walked forward. "What is your name?" "Ente" replied the man. "I used to be a ranger though now I'm infected with this disease!" "That was an impressive display." said Volrath "I think even some of the older vampires would have had trouble taking down that Elder. I congratulate you and hope to meet you on the battle field soon. Also, do you know the one called Mishara?" "I killed that one, irritating me with how we should be rationally thinking." replied Ente. "Just as I would do. I'm surprised I didn't kill him before. Would you care to spar? I haven't sparred with someone of your caliber in ages." asked Volrath. "Certainly. You might give me some good practice." replied Ente. The began rapidly exchanging blows and blocking, none were hit, they were comepletely equal in fighting prowess. They continued sparring until dawn, wainting for the city to begin flooding with vampires at the exits.
MDRud216
Xiton throughout the night various activity took place throughout the city and bands of Xiton's most loyal gaurds ran about collecting armor and weapons of war from the armories far beneath the earth. Many of the unequiped newborns looked in awe upon the dusty pieces of chain and leather as if they were receiving some sort of present, but those who vventured to near were quickly hit away by the elite who carried it. In one corner of the great sacrificial hall an older vampire, quite arrogant but skilled "played" with a newborn, who was cowering now, awaiting torture that would never cease as long as his immortal body stayed alive."I will not kill you newborn, I am enjoying you fine alive!" the vampire quickly lifted his victim into the air by his neck. the newborn screached in the agony of a painful suffocation that would never kill him; it lasted for nearly ten minutes before the older vampire threw him against the cavernous wall. The newborn retaliated and ran forward striking the air where the oldervampire had moved from."your eyes have not fully adjusted to the pitch black of this city, if I were you i would wait until your vampiric infection allowed you to see in this darkness before you attacked." the older vampire walked off and the newborn collapsed on the ground, exhausted. The night wore on, and the elite and older vampires tormented the newborns as had been done to them so many years before. The seemingly horrid and pointless practice actually served an important purpose. It helped establish the fear and respect that a younger vampire always had for the generations ahead of it, as those were the ones who tormented it after its rebirth into vampirism. Also, it set jumpstarted the natural hatred that a vampire felt for everything around it... those who were tormented the most during their first months as a vampire often proved to be the feircest warriors once the divine infection had taken a stronger hold upon them. At last day broke and Xiton quieted, although many loyal elites still labored in the subterrainian city. When the crecent moon rose on the last night that Xiton would be inhabited by Vampires all military preparations were ready and many vampires ventured out to hunt in pairs or small groups (feel free to have your char go). Wilderness A large band of human soldiers marched in the early darkness; mail clinked and rattled about them. They weaved through the hillocks south of the Sea of Sands and the massive mountains that divided the desert from this land. After some time they turned southwest over the grasslands and hills until the hills grew larger and more spread out. The men were restless, strange figures moved in the darkness just far enough away as to hide any detail of themselves. Soon the restlessness turned to panick as soldiers on the outside of the group disapeared. Soon they were scattered and the many pairs of vampires picked off what they needed. mrpyromania
"We should go and slay the upstarts." though Ulid, stalking through the night. He was not paticularily pleased at the order to abandon the city. By not retalitating directly and swiflty, the vampires were allowing the cattle to gain courage. If one group rise up and defy the vampires, then who knew how many would follow suit. Dangerous thinking,by Ulid's thinking. He approched a small patrol, clearly marked out by there torches. They were foolish, leaving such a light guard. He slipped by the sleeping sentry, alone. He had long since slipped away from the group he had set out with. He silently slipped by a fire, were two soldeirs crouched down, very close. They didn't even notice him. On the other hand, not many beings could, let alone a mere human. He grabbed both of there heads, and drove them together. The two hit hard, and there was sicking crack as one of there skulls broke. He let them fall into the fire. "I wonder how boiled blood tastes?"wondered Ulid, slipping out of the illumination of the fire. He spotted a tent. Figuring there must be a ranking someone in there. He felt the material as he entered. Silk! At least the human knows how to travel in comfort. The tent floor was covered in carpets, soft ones at that. To one side, there was bed with a woman in it. Judging by the various Tomes and ingridenrts about the room, she was a spellcaster of sorts. One able to tap the Source. He crept closer to get a good look. She was very pretty, and rather volumptious. He put on hand over her mouth, and began drinking her blood. She awakined imidiatly, and made a muffled scream. Ulid cursed under his breath,as he heard a guard approching. He quickly jumped under the covers, ontop of her. He brang the covers completly over there heads and and continued drinking. The woman issued a low moan, and strugled feebly. The guard, who entered just after Ulid went into the bed, turned red and immidatly backed out of the tent. Ulid stayed there, just to be safe. It wasn't an uncomfertable postion either.
