Modded War Paints Wont Appear in Game

The day I got skyrim, i got a war paint mod, but none of them would show up, here I am almost a year later and none of my war paint mods will show. Currently Im dead set on finding a way to make my argonian warpaint mod to show up. This is the mod (not made by me of course): http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16431

 

 

First I downloaded the mod with NMM and they did not show up. Next, I started trying random s***.

 

I tried just putting all the files, esp included into the data folder, no paints in game.

 

I went into data/textures/actors/character/character assets/tintmasks and put all but the esp files in this, as i read on another mod that their warpaints werent compatible with any war paint mods that were in that folder, so I thought maybe thats where I should put them, but still nothing appeared.

 

Next, I tried putting them in data/textures/actors/characters/argonianmale as Im using them for a male character, still nothing.

 

The uninstall instructions mentions deleting a ksargonianwarpaints folder from data, which did NOT come with the mod. So i made this folder myself, put it into the data folder then put all the files into THAT folder, but still, nothing.

 

So then, I left them there, but moved the ESP file to the top of my load order on NMM. There are 10 ESM files before this esp. load order 01-09 + 0A & 0B and the war paints are 0C. I'm not sure what the letters in load order mean. I had never actually looked at the load order numbers until just now describing the number that this mod is. I'm currently about to try making it #10, after 0F in the load order and will post back here if that works.

 

In the mean time, anyone who knows how to help, please do so!

 

 

 

EDIT: Changing the load Order to #10 did NOT work. I think it might be worth noting that I have this mod for raptor talons and better scales on my argonian: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19305

 

 

That mod combines artifex0's Argonian Raptor Feet with JazzJR's Argonian Retexture into one mod. I'll try removing that and seeing if the paints show up.

 

by the way, all these edits are me saying what I'm trying is to help other members that have the same problems and giving them ideas on what to try. otherwise I'd just keep trying and not edit this post until someone tries to help me :P

 

 

 

EDIT 2: I have no clue what I did. I completely uninstalled the mod, then did what I did in the first place over again, used NMM and now its magically working O.O I hadnt removed the raptor talons/retex or anything yet. However I would still like to know why none of my other warpaint mods have ever shown up in game? I'm pretty excited as out of atleast 10, this is the first one I've gotten to successfully show up in game, and in the past I have indeed tryied uninstalling and reinstalling the mods multiple times.

Sounds like a plugin conflict between the two mods. It may be possible to get them to play together using Wrye Bash. Alternatively (if it is in-fact a mod conflict) you could most likely merge the two into yet another plugin, though using Bash is generally the preferred method.

 

Either play with your load order (loading one after the other, then vice versa) and see if load order between the two matters (whichever mod loads last wins out), or grab TES5Edit and open both the plugins up in it. It has Conflict detection built-in and conflicting entries between the plugins will be highlighted in red.
