MShoap13
Open all of your mods in TES5Edit. Once it loads right click in the left pane and select "Apply Filter for Cleaning" (this filter just makes finding mod cconflicts a lot, lot easier). Once the filter is applied, expand the tree for Dawnguard.esm and find the RACE branch. Underneath that branch click on the first race to view it's subrecords in the "View" tab on the right pane. Right-click in the right pane and make sure "Hide no Conflict Rows is selected. If the Mount Data subrecord and/or a group of 6 or 7 Attack Data subrecords are still shown after hiding no conflict rows then one or more of your plugins affect races and may not be updated to work with horse combat. Go through all 20ish races listed in Dawnguard.esm and make sure all of your plugins have the required information. In the event that you find a mod that isn't updated for horse combat, It's possible to make a patched plugin (for personal use unless you get the proper permissions to upload it). Thanks I will try this now and get back to you. Edit:OK I have it expanded now and so far no horse combat are shown after I hid all Conflicts. But do I have to go down the whole lists and look? And do I have to do this with all my mods? And why Dawngaurd? Edited December 3, 2012 by KnightRangersGuild
MShoap13
Ok, Dawnguard.esm is probably the wrong one to look at, try Update.esm. You do need to check each individual playable race. Here's a screenshot of me doing these steps with a plugin that I know is missing horse combat data:http://i45.tinypic.com/23uas9j.jpg Note how the column labeled "More Hair Colors.esp" has nothing in the rows. I'm at the Races Branch of Update.esm, sorry about sending you to Dawnguard first. Conflicts indicated in red may be intentional changes etc. so they may not be a problem at all. However, they could represent plugins that don't contain potentially necessary data etc. In this case, I have intentionally only loaded a plugin missing the Horse Combat data along with the official DLCs and the Unnofficial Patches, so I can show you exactly what you're looking for. If the rows displayed there are not displayed for you once you've applied "Hide no Conflict Rows" then there is no conflict and every plugin loaded after Update.esm, that includes overrides for the playable races, has exactly the same data entered for these entries. This would indicate that you do not have a plugin conflict causing this. Edited December 3, 2012 by MShoap13
fore
For heavens sake, KnightRangersGuild, get Skyrim 1.8 and stop this unnecessary post. To tell it quite clear, not using 1.8 (although posting an error message that 1.8 is required), is nothing else but a clear indication of not using steam. Fore: I do have 1.8 I'm just no using it right now, are you saying that if I use 1.8 this might fix my problem? Also I do use steam sometimes, why does that matter? I hope your not suggesting I pirated it, because I didn't , I wouldn't know how to do that if I tried. I couldn't even get Baldurs Gate II when I tried, LoL , I never even heard of Steam before I got Skyrim, I had to get Steam when I bought Skyrim, I'm just not very good at navigating around it and it's still new to me. I came over from the XBox 360 because I wanted to mod Skyrim, so I own two Skyrim games, PC and 360But anyway I will use 1.8, I will do anything to get this problem addressed, and you should know I don't think it was your mod that caused this anyway and for saying it was I'm sorry. Update: OK well apparently I already had the 1.8 update installed and I have no idea how because I thought I had auto update turned off! But anyway I still seem to have that issue but I am narrowing it down pretty good. Awhile back I had an issue with NMM and all my mods where deleted from NMM but I still had them all installed, some of them had no .esp's, just files. And some of them were in fact idle and animation mods. One of them was even my own so I am working to remove them first before I try the TES5Edit thing again. Thanks for all your help and will let you know what happens in case this may happen to someone else.
