tsanford01 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) Is it worth it to allow patch and have to redo my mods i see it overwrites some of the key UPKs? I ask because i have a lot of time and efforts in a mod, but i want others to be able to use it if possible. Its sounds like another path is OTW too..This patching of files and rewriting the files we use to make real changes is going to hamper our efforts to provide good mods IMHO. Drakous79 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Patches should be allowed, because you want to mod the same version of the game people have. If you have your modding attempts documented, you should be able to do changes to new files. Just copy your modded files somewhere so you have a reference, before allowing the patch.
tsanford01 Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 Its the hex edits that are a headache, you know, just don't want to have to find them repeatedly. I do have documentation but will have to improve it to keep up with repeated mods. Thanks for your input
twinj Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 It's getting easier with the tools that have been made.
