multox Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 If I remember correctly, engine heat sinks are considered built-in and should cost no weight. But they still affect weight in this game. Would love a mod that changes those to zero weight.
Toldekk Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 if they are built in, then get blown, they have to be replaced. They are still part of the overall weight of the mech so as such they have weight. Depending on the loadout of the mech you can remove heatsinks and lower the ovearall weight in order to add more armor, i.e. runing ballistic rather than an energy wpn mech, which would require more base heat sinks to deal w/higher output of such. So making heat sinks weight zeor would not be very balanced.
