dragonslayer2k12 Posted February 26, 2020 Share Posted February 26, 2020 We only get to claim settlements for the MM unless we decide to be a mobster for the BoS and force a settlement to ally with them. I am seeing a lot of nice custom settlement mods that I would like to use if I could build them in the first place for another faction instead of the MM is that possible? I can't seem to find a mod right now that does this. So what would be different other than faction ownership is of course from time to time if arriving after fast travel you would see patrol npcs from that faction leaving out of the settlement instead of the usual MM patrol leaving. Instead of just settlers showing up after a radio beacon is built it would be faction specific npcs showing up. Obviously no need to talk to that dam preston garvey after building the places. There could be an immersion friendly limitation placed on what factions you can claim a settlement for based on what factions you are currently in. The only problem I see with this idea is if you blow up the institute or destroy the BoS or kill the RR. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dragonslayer2k12 Posted February 26, 2020 Author Share Posted February 26, 2020 I forgot about your mod but I think I stopped using it because my potato pc can't handle a lot of script heavy mods. I don't even want to think what kind of smoke would come out of my potato with sim settlements mods installed. SKKmods Posted February 27, 2020 Share Posted February 27, 2020 I get sim settlements can be taxing, but when there is no attack in progress the settlement attack system scripts are totally idle except for one timer ticking which is less load than one blade of grass waving in the breeze.
