Warsaw2135
Hi, i have a some mods that have not been update for awhile by the author. for some reason the scripts don't work right and was wondering if this was because of the 1.8 patch. i want to use the mod and want to update it to make it compatible to the 1.8 patch. How do i do that or is it simply saving it in the CK with the new update.esm?
MShoap13
If it's an issue with the plugin's script(s) it may be quite difficult to fix. If it's just missing information causing script(s) that have been added/updated since the plugin was updated, or plain bad plugins (usually made in TESnip) that can usually be rectified pretty quickly in TES5Edit. Are there any particular plugins you're having issues with? Edited November 30, 2012 by MShoap13
Warsaw2135
Hi MShoap13, thanks for the reply. The mod i was trying to fix is the Become King of Riverhelm mod. for some reason the scripts are all wonky like the baron and a few npcs have no dialogue, while some are calling me thane even though i am not thane yet. ive been checking the page for awhile but there are no updates and it seems to work fine for some people. MShoap13
Are you running the 2.5 update of it found on this page? What version of Skyrim are you running and do you have Dawnguard or Hearthfires?
Warsaw2135
Yup, im running the 2.5 version of the mod on vanilla skyrim, no expansions, and the latest version of skse.
MShoap13
So far as I can tell, that mod is currently working with Skyrim 1.8. Post a Papyrus log if you don't mind. Add the following lines to the [Papyrus] section of your Skyrim.ini (located at C:\Users\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\) to enable logging:bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation=1 If there isn't a [Papyrus] section, add one. After enabling logging, go in-game and head to a location or speak to an NPC that the mod affects. Then just close the game and you'll notice a \Logs\ folder in the same directory your config files are located.
