SpeedyB64
If the laser uses RGB than modifying it should be simple! Just tweak the cocour values.
ivenoname
Ok I have been looking at FOMM, I am unsure how to edit something, I also could use some help on how to create my own plugin without changing the stock Fallout ESM.
ivenoname
Ok I found what I believe is the laser beam it's self. [Record]Type: LIGHFormID: 0001e879Flags 1: 00000000Flags 2: 0033310aFlags 3: 00010001Subrecords: 3Size: 72 bytes (excluding header) In the second box there is a thing that says EDID DATA FNAM, if I double click on EDID it shows me something that saysMuzzleLaserRed300. and it has a lot of HEX code to the left (I am sure you guys are aware of how this looks) and I can change it to say Blue instead of red and the HEX code changes too. I changed this to say Blue and saved it as a new ESP and tried it in game, but nothing happened, so A:This is not how it's done or B: I need some kkind of Archive Invalidation text. I hope it's B: because , while I don't know how to create an archive invalidation text, I am positive you guys do and can help me learn to do so. Somehow I don't think it is going to be that easy. P.S. It was mentioned earlier that this had been done before, is that a mod I can download? I think it might be usefull to take a look at it and see what I need to be doing. SpeedyB64
The invalidation text is used to tell the game to replace the original file (mesh or texture) with one in the data directory. The EDID is simply the name of the entry and has little effect. I am not shure you are looking in the right place if you are looking for the projectile you should go to the PROJ section.I looked at it but I see no colour changing setting  I examined the laser beam model and it is just white so the colour is in the the code somewhere. ivenoname
Indeed I was looking at the section you showed, and anywhere else I could to find what I needed. What I was refering to on the bottom window/box/whatever where it says EDID double click and you can change it to say Blue300 instead of Red300. and Hex values change as the word changes. I was hopeing that had something to do with it, but it doesn't seem to. I really don't know how any of this works with Hex editing and what-not, if there is a texture I can edit it, that's about the extent of my modding skkills. Anyways, if it is indeed somewhere in the code I won't be able to find it. Maybe when the CS comes out I'll be able to have Blue lasers. Until then Thank you much for your help, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that there is someone else out there like me who-has the knowhow- and wants Blue lasers. Thanks again. SpeedyB64
There are some other people interested in this so it will probably be done. If it is in the code than the cs will be able to change it. I will keep experimenting. :)
