keyboard/mouse freeze

i've been having a problem lately with playing where i play for a while and then the keyboard and mouse freeze. the game is still playing, i.e. if in a firefight, people are still running around shooting. i do have quite a few mods enabled but as far as i know ive been pretty good about not using conflicting files. also i always get a crash right when i launch the game, but once it crashes the next attempt always works.

 

any info would be greatly appreciated, if you need to know all the mods just ask as im way too tired to put all of them up here at the moment.

 

also i have the archiveinvalidation stuff done to the .ini in the games\fallout3 folder and the .txt file in the fallout3 folder. btw using windows xp.

well i found out that it seems to have nothing to do with my mods as i disabled all and it keeps happenening. guess this shouldnt be in mod troubleshooting anymore, but i still dont know what is causing the problem. any help would still be appreciated. about to search through other troubleshooting areas.

 

 

also i find it strange that ive been playing for about a week and it just started happening recently.
