EatsCookies
First, I have contacted the mod owner and gotten permission to split this mod. The mod alters the 5 schools of magic adding (1% power and duration X userlevel) to each school. I would like help breaking this .esp into 5 .esp. One for each school! I really just want to use the Illusion, Conjuration and Alteration. As I feel it breaks Destro and Resto schools. Will any of you modders be able to help me? Thank you all. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B9EAE_dW9KRma0J6S0wyNVBPV28 Edited December 1, 2012 by EatsCookies
MShoap13
You need permission to access this item. A link to the mod in question may be helpful. So long as it's simple value alterations this would probably take no time at all in TES5Edit. If it has new scripts attached or something it could get a little more complicated. I assume it is just as easy and finding each portion of the mod that effects each school and creating a new .esp for each. Thx!
MShoap13
Wow, it's all of 5 entries that don't overlap with anything. This is literally a 5 minute project in TES5Edit. Load this plugin up in TES5Edit (It will automatically load Skyrim.esm as it's the mod's only master. I usually recommend loading up Update.esm, all DLCs, and all Unofficial Patches when working on something in TES5Edit because it's really easy to make mods compatible with them through there, but with this file it's not necessary as it doesn't overwrite anything they affect). Once it loads, In the left pane you'll see a list of loaded plugins. Expand the tree for this plugin and you'll see a branch labeled "Perks". Expand that branch and you'll see five entries, one for each school of magic. Right click on one of these entries and choose "Copy as override". A popup will display a list of plugins to copy it to, choose new file. It will ask you to name your new plugin. Repeat this for each school. Upon closing TES5Edit it will ask which plugins you'd like to save. From there you just need to activate them...
