I must have accidentally turned this CK feature on and it's asking me to do all the network verification things I really don't want to do.

 

Is there a way to turn it off? The prompt says to edit ConstructionSet.ini but I don't seem to have that file.

Thanks scrivener, the only SkyrimEditor.ini I can find is in my general download folder, and that has bUseVersionControl=0 as you said. Still getting the VC message though.

 

Feeling like I should be wearing a dunce hat but where is this file supposed to be located?

It should be in the root of your Skyrim folder along with the main exe. Also, I've had to temporally disable VC by setting bUseVersionControl=0, but I will still get a warning if "\Merging\ConstructionSetNetwork.ini" exists (which should be auto-generated by VC). "\Merging\" being which ever folder is set for "SNetwork Path".

 

So to disable it temporarily, I set "bUseVersionControl=0" and delete "\Merging\ConstructionSetNetwork.ini". Then when I want it back on, I just set "bUseVersionControl=1" and it auto-generates a new "\Merging\ConstructionSetNetwork.ini".

Thanks - as an FYI, there was no \\Merging\etc folder anywhere on my drive, nor was ConstructionSetNetwork.ini anywhere. No clue how that option got set. The only unusual thing I did recently was disconnect from cloud to clear out some old save games. Perhaps the VC option was set within the program itself?

 

Anyway I went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled CK and it works fine now, thank goodness. Thanks for the help =)
