lPyroManial
Hey! I'm new to modding and I've been attempting to make a follower but I've recently run into an issue. While looking for male NIF files I noticed that the only thing in my character assets folder was a male body. There are no further subfolders, no female nif files - just a single lone torso longing for its limbs. Is this the standard? Do I have to play Frankenstein and collect the missing parts from somewhere else? Or has something gone wrong? EDIT: For anyone in the future experiencing this, here's a guide on how to extract bsa files. You'll also need two additional programs. dylbill
You have to extract the skyrim meshes.bsa to get all the vanilla nifs.

dylbill
No problem. I would either extract them all to a folder, somewhere other than your Skyrim/Data folder, or only extract the nifs that are necessary for your mod. That way you don't have a bunch of loose files in your data folder, which can be bad for performance.
