Ah thank you for clearing that up, its never happened to me, I mean I've seen Vertibirds flying overhead but never seen them drop off soldiers. Maybe you could make a mod that allowed that to happen more frequently? It doesn't really happen alot. I've seen it maybe a total of 3-4 times. Want to see a mod that allows you to fly around in a virtibird A mod that allows you to quick draw as in instead of draw weapon and shoot or draw weapon and strike a single draw and strike quick style. A mod to allow NPCs to notice their buddy who was stealth killed right next to them. A mod that lets you get married and pimp your wife like in fallout 2 A mod where you can sneak up and stab an NPC in the neck for an instant kill A mod that allows food to give you a buff like resting well does. A chance to make your own drugs A mod where you have to dispose of bodies or the guards start looking for suspicious looking characters A furniture store to buy furniture for your home A mod that allows you to go prone and crawl A mod that allows you to virticle climb rocks A working binocular not just a scope More wildlife creature that you can possibly befriend A delayed charge - nuke or C4 More weather changes that actually effect you like acid rain or dust storms or blizzards that can hurt you if you dont have the right protection The ability to make a camp and fire - unroll a bedroll and sleep A vehicle or horse or something like a dirtbike Diseases that you can get from whores, animal bites, bad food etc. Repeatable missions like territories that certain factions take over if their idle for too long Highway robberies - not just raiders attacking you on site but if you dont draw your weapon they point guns at you walk up and take some random stuff if you dont run or attack. Extended cannibalism where you dont just heal but get certain buffs from what you eat like ghoul or human and even allow you to eat super mutants. smartbombs or satalite strikes that you have to lace with a laser - or something. A mod that allows you to practically make or upgrade every weapon in the game A mod that allows you to cook and make food or gather herbs for healing and buffs. weapon attachments like a scope or silencer or laser pointer that can be added or removed from weapons not just a static weapon A anti-radiation wet suit and more underwater locations. Sea creatures lol. Tribal NPC's and geckos. NPC's that can use stealthboy. A stealthboy that runs on batteries instead of uses You can actually smoke cigaretts A food mod where you need to eat or lose endurance - drink or die. To not just kill people but actually tie them up and bring them in for live bounties or bounties posted outside towns either dead or alive or both. Fishing - and anti radiation cooking. Nights that are either bright or dark depending on the transition of the moon. Nightvision Goggles. The ability to be a glowing one with special perks for ghouls. A mod that lets you grab people and haul them around - push pull not just hit or fight. Green house where you can plant seeds and grow plants. To be able to disembowel NPC's with a katana. Claymores or tripwires that can be stuck to walls. Enclave that call for reinforcements and air support that is unless you cut off their communication. When tired be able to trip and lose balance, or clumsy or drop weapon. An actual GECK item that makes grass turn green - trees grow and fresh water to drink in a large area. A chance to be a fluffer A chance to be a doctor - IE to perform your own facial reconstruction or to heal your own radiation poisening and addictions etc. The ability to play as a super mutant or an intelligent death claw with special racial perks. The ability to disect bodies and sell more body parts. The ability to get naked and make undwear actual clothing you can put on. Mutant plants that attack you. I'm fully capable of doing all the modelling, texturing and tweaking, the only thing I lack is time :) My rough Idea was a Northern Commonwealth mod that takes place in the ruins of Newly Annexed Canada 8-) Yup. Realistically, try and reskin some clothes and armour to suit faction type, or style. Optimistically, try and create some new custom weapons to make with the Workbench. Already given some ideas to one trailblazer out there on the Nexus. In my dreams, try and create a long-term mission to track down more music for GNR, considering that a fair amount of classic tunes are out of copyright and therefore in the public domain, it could be done. fourtylashes Posted November 29, 2008 Share Posted November 29, 2008 I only have limited experience modding (I've done a little bit of map work with Source SDK and I used to play with the WC3 editor), but I'd like to release a comprehensive balance mod that: 1. Changes Stats from base 10 to base 100. Lessen impact of stats (so that 10 new strength = 1.1~ old strength ; I would make achieving 100 in a stat is difficult) This change allows for more variance in armor/weapon/specialization and allows for easier balancing. Normal power Armor can give +25~ strength, -8~ Agility, +16 Stamina, +6~ Perception, as opposed to what it would have to be if we were to mod it normally (giving it +3 strength, -2 agility -- which is way too much, under my system that's equivalent to -20 agility, +30 strength). 2. Alter perks, you get one every 3 levels like the original fallout (but can choose 2 at the beginning). Perks have a greater impact and you must choose them carefully. 3. Increase max level to 30~ (maybe 35). 4. Change Charisma so it effects how many people you can recruit to your "party" (I would implement additional people to add to your team). Mercenaries (canon fodder) and unique characters are "recruitable". Merge Barter and other CHA related stats. 5. Alter small guns damage -- allow for dual wield? I'd have to work with other mods on this, since they're adding in a lot of sweet small guns. 6. Alter the storyline and dialogue. Not really a balance, but some of the dialogue is ATROCIOUS. I'd also like to make some choices in the game more morally ambiguous (true to fallout style). 7. I'd like to allow for different robot enemies. They were pretty bland (and easy) in the game.
