Now that the Construction Set Is Confirmed...

I don't know how to do anything in this. But will it be possible to make "sprinting"?

Like you don't get to fire while sprinting, but you're hauling ass. And uhm, maybe it drains health SLOWLY kind of as a makeshift endurance.

Eh, but it would look retarded without new animations, which I'm sure would be difficult.

I've just thought about another thing to do:

Expand the contents of 3dog's radio show. Of course, I'm not talking about music, everybody will have to do that for themselves, since uploading copyrighted music is a no-no; you can make the music playlists longer already by pasting more music into the existing music files with an audio editor.

What I mean is more talk, especially for after the MQ, since 3dog has nothing to say about that. And I'm not going to replace 3dog or add more speech to him, since I don't have his voice. :P

I'm thinking more along the lines of a correspondent or reporter. And I'm going to do his speech myself, because of which I'll probably give him a German name. :D

(Although, while I do have a slight accent, it couldn't be identified as a German one by the Americans I've met so far. :))

1: I'd like to add some Fallout 1-2 style random encounters, like people in different colored power armor spouting insults at each other a-la Red vs Blue by Rooster Teeth Productions.

2: Maybe replace the old violin lady with a group of zombie survival nutters, with their own zombie survival radio station.

3: Continued play after the main quest with the world being affected by the choices you made. For example if you choose to poison the water with the modified FEV virus, Super Mutants who are too stupid to boil the water before drinking it will start to spawn less and less until they've been wiped out entirely. Ghouls seem to retain enough of their wits to figure out how to negate the virus before it does too much damage to them.

4: More towns like Megaton and at least one vault that isn't some kind of sick and twisted experiment. Vault 101 wasn't too bad, but it'd still be nice to come across at least one vault inhabited by somewhat sane human beings.

5: Maybe either some mentions of the intelligent Deathclaws or a place where one actually lives.

6: More fleshed out information on the Enclave and how they ended up on the east coast.

7: After main quest you get to go on another even greater quest in which you have to build a boat and sail to Europe. You'd have to stock up on water and food to survive and you'd find small settlements out on the seas like in Waterworld and probably also a couple of islands that have been largely untouched by the nuclear war. Europe is probably not completely in ruins like the United States, but the war would definitely still have smashed up it's infrastructure.

This is a bit of a pipe-dream though, as it would require possibly about as much work as went into the original game... not to speak of the voice-acting required.

8: Oh, and I'd like to bring back the fuzzy picture of Elvis, which would have course be found near the crashed UFO like in Fallout 1.

I'd also like to see almost everything mentioned by everyone else happen.

I'm probably going to start by working on the Zombie Survival group and radio station first while poking around the G.E.C.K. to see what I can do about making some Random Encounters... 5, 6 and 8 should be easy enough too.

EDIT: I've also been thinking about making a new creature that is basically a huge mutant cricket, 'bout the size of a dog. And in stead of having the cricket sound be an overall background noise, I'd make it even louder and make it a sound that emanates from any idle mutant crickets. So when you're out exploring at night, if you hear no crickets, you can take it easy. When you start hearing crickets you need to start being vigilant. But when those crickets suddenly go quiet... that's when you know you're in trouble. I think it'd be a cool way to add to the atmosphere of the game.

This could be done, but if it removed health, the removed health should regenerate afterward. Also, you shouldn't be able to sprint when holding large weapons. If someone were to do this, Mass Effect has a great sprint that would be a good reference. Of course, it would need to be a realistic speed lol.

New army, new monsters, new weapons, and a new place for my creations to roam that should not conflict with any other mod. Oh and 2 vehicles x) that I am certain will be a huge hit and take all your companions where ever you need to be. I am way to damn excited.

I would like to see original mods. Fallout 3 has such a crazy ass open field to play with. I mean vulk we could get out guys to space couldn't we XD ? What about a new state huh huh? Or sharks with lazer beams on there fricken foreheads!!! Blue lazer beams btw ;). I cant remember who was asking for blue lazer beams XD.

Yay, that would get me to spend time in the water...as bad an isea as that is.

P.S. I wanted the Blue lasers, and now I want them on a Sharks head as well as in my gun.

I'm going to be making an immersion mod, similar to that of Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, except for Fallout 3.

The base mod will contain a hunger+thirst+sleep system, which affects stats. It will also be customizable, for instance - not drinking enough water could lead to dehydration, or not drinking water at all could lead to death. Haven't slept in 10 days? You might just collapse to the floor, and fall asleep there. Maybe you'll be attacked while sleeping?

It will contain a variety of different super mutants, NPCs, Roaches, etc. Hopefully some with original models.

Timescale to 10, darker nights, a flashlight - instead of just a circle of light you point the light infront of you, weather and other various immersion related things.

If you are interested in joining the project, add me on msn, or email me at

with the subject of 'Immersion Overhaul', any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
