Are Clipping issues Really suppose to occur?

So this is more of a general Fallout and Elder Scroll issue, but I thought about it while playing NV so I might as well post it here. Even when playing NV with no graphic enhancement mods, using normal apparel such as the elite riot gear, with a normal weapon such as one of the snipers or assault rifles, there is always a clipping issue. Whether it be the barrel of my sniper rifle goes through my armor from the bottom to the top, or an even more obnoxious clip, it doesn't seem to be due to a problem with my particular version of the game being faulty or any mods I've installed since none of them are in use. Is this game (and any other Bethesda game really) actually just designed in a way to hope that the player accepts the graphical flaws and deal with it? It seems like this should have been an issue they addressed with all vanilla weapons in any of their games in combination with the vanilla armors. If we introduce weapon and armor mods into the game then I understand we have absolutely nothing to complain about....but with their own developed material? I think we deserve better than this, truly :/.

Well, it is a Bethesda/obsidian game. Comes with the territory.

But on the bright side, The issues on skyrim were more minor if I remember correctly.

It's hard to really factor in every armor and every weapon, I understand it's people that are paid good money to check this kind of problem, but as I just said. Just happens.

Just gotta try to live with it.

Well Skyrim has been in development for years and has already been out a year, and there are only really a good 15 or so unique armors that would require different testing. I don't think it's unreasonable to want them to fix those armors to not clip weapons on the back, but that's just me. I might have a higher standard for Bethesda when it comes to clipping issues. And NV has been out for years and they haven't solved the clipping issues either. Oh well though, like you said there's nothing we can do about it at this point :/.
